Quick question:
When responding to ATC do you guy's say call sign first or instruction first then the call sign.
I always put the call sign at the end of a transmission.
ATCER, is there a preffered way?
...off unless on the runway or in the air.
And also guys sittting there pointing right at you on the ramp picking up the clearance or whatever the f*ck they're doing for all that time. All the while with the friggin landing light on.
Nice little b*tch session. Now that thats off my chest...
I am the copilot. I sit on the right.
It's up to me to be quick and bright;
I never talk back for I have regrets,
But I have to remember what the Captain forgets.
I make out the Flight Plan and study the weather, Pull up the gear,
stand by to feather;
Make out the mail forms and do the...
.... as soon as I saw his feet disappear out the door I'd push the nose over hard and catch up to the poor guy. Give him another chance. 007 style rescue. If he waves you off .... oh well smile wave and fly away. A least your conscience would be clear.
Buping boy, Have you been in a foxhole?
Or, in a bad situation such as the one I described?
I doubt you have. It's quite simple, you're still just a boy. Very naive at that from what it sounds like.
I'm not talking about the fear that runs through your veins when you're student stalls...
You will believe in a supreme being and or force higher than nature too one day. You just don't have the experience yet. Just wait till your tossed out of a level five thunder head, upside down, inch or two of ice on the wings, holes melted in most controle surfaces. Somehow the wings are still...
Are people actually not opening this thread because of the Warning?
That just scream's "open this thread now!" to me.
That little helicopter needs a tad more hoarsepower. Fun games.
Snakum,
If that thread was closed because of something I started, I'm sorry. I haven't checked on to the board since last night and I'm thinking that things may have been taken the wrong way. I was making fun in a seriouse discussion. Maybe more of these next time;) :D :p :) .
Anyway, were...
Think it really cost 16 million to produce thit big computerized toy?
The demand says they can sell it for that but I'd say the mark up on it is around 1000%.
They were less than 1/2 mile from the approach end of the runway, a little bit off course to the left. There wasn't much airplane left by the time any pictures were taken, really just a burning hole and a little section of the tail. It's a marshy pine forest area more than a mile to the nearest...
It was a late 80's model B-200. I think maybe an 89'. I may be mistaken but in the later models King Airs I think they did have CVR's, I may be wrong though.
The approaches at the airport are all non-precision. VOR, VOR-A, GPS, GPS-A. The lowest one was the GPS, and that one was
371-1.
AvBug has answered your question. No frills, just do what the POH or the Ops. specify.
I use full flaps on every landing in anything I fly from Pa-18 to King Air. Why not? I guess some of what was instilled in me when first learning has stuck. Runway behind you is as useless as the altitude...
Lose the Medical?
Move to Mexico, South America or the Islands. Still be flying, just under the radar and being paid in cash.
I don't even have to ose my med. that sounds kinda fun rightnow.
check out Bushwings.com some good smuggler stories and photos on there.
"best ways to stay awake?"
Tune in some good ol' country on the ADF and sing your heart out. It also keeps the bird strikes at a minimum.. or turn off the heater.. Those are natural.
Theres a whole industry of trucker/cargo pilot over the counter's out there that'll keep you on your toes...
...guys have a plan of action figured out by that time.
Ok, well there are alot of way's. Go hang out at the airport and raise your hand for every **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** flying opp. available. A plethora of options will be there. Whether it be 134.5 pilot service...

Flying the Line sounds like a good read.
If management treated us fair and gave us all everything we wanted we'd all be asking for more, more, more. Gotta look at it from there point of vew too. It's a delicate relationship that very few seem to keep in good working order...
