Ain't no such place. Fort laud. is like a HUGE surburbia of a city, bunch of townhomes, condos, etc within walking distance to....your car. And nothing around them, just the odd supermarket and ugly strip mall to provide for the local surburbia sheep.
The ONLY happening places in Fort...
Hey you are the guy who plopped the 182 down by Sample Rd, on your way to FXE? Great job, I'm sure you're happy we gotta lotta lakes round here! I saw the burnt out and wingless hull on the west side of the airport the other day, a sad site. What happened????
On airliners.net you can find a bunch of photos of the old ruskies and their Il-62s, Tupolevs et al with their buckets open prior to touching down - though they may have had only the buckets open without applying thrust. Couldn't hear the noise by looking at the picture.
Found the video (along with other interesting ones)

Also, get a kick of that Piaggio 166 vid with their pusher GO-480s! I saw one at Sun n fun a few years ago.
No experience with the 149 but I'm sure that geared GO-480 will need a lot of babying, vs. a direct drive. Don't know the fuel burn, though I do recall reading that the IGSO-480 was a guzzler. Plus the additional maintenance on the planetary gear. TBO around 1,200.
But man they sure do sound...
Go ahead and spam Embraer if it makes you sleep better at nite, certainly they will suffer the wrath of your spam attacks.
Embraer was privitized in 1994. The government does have a very small slice of the pie (preferred stock) but I think they only weigh in on the defense side...
New Twist: they are being charged
Oh-oh... :( Article doesn't mention exactly what the charge is...this is baffling considering they were just granted their passports!

Congrats! More of my Vegas hijinks...
- In my short experience, my impression is that Vegas is split into 2 halves: One for the lowballers, where you'll find $1 budweisers and $5 dinners - anyplace on Fremont Ave. for example. Then, you have the upscale hi-roller hangouts like Caesar's...
be single
Whatever you do, don't be married or dating when you go - you'll wish you weren't. It's an adult playground! All my single buddies scored bigtime when they went.
I went home with the same woman I arrived with.
Oh yeah, shows. We saw Cirque Soleil's Love - the Beatles musical...
Was curious and did a quick google image search for this model and found:

Is this what you're referring to?
This 707 pilot also felt the wave - albeit only once, and much to the chagrin of his pax!

Thought the link included famous accompanying photo of 707 floating to earth, guess not.
I thought he had a 2-stroke "seizure", not run out of gas. I'd think it be hard to run out of gas, simply look in back and see if there's gas sloshin in that 5 gal semi-transparent tank
