I think the flights out of SLC are Air Wisconsin. On Flightlookup.com it has the departures listed as 5000 series numbers which is us. Have you found something different?
The decision on Air Wisconsins contract is to be decided no later than March 25th per the company memo. Haven't heard anything as of late. Buckle up, it's gonna be a rough ride!
ERA runs two crew bases for the Twin Otter: ANC and BET (Bethel). Both of these bases have pros and cons. In Anchorage it's nothing but 121 ops. Long paved runways, baggage handlers fuelers (except in Homer), ATC...etc. However when I was there you flew around 35-45 hours a month which would...
Ak Airlines,
I know for a fact that Alaska time is not looked down upon in the industry. I used to fly for ERA and have had several friends from there leave for Fedex, Ups, Alaska, United...and then some. The last I heard ERA was getting rid of some of their Convair 580's ( they have 5 )...
At Air Wisconsin they breifed to us that from indoc through check ride is 65-70 days. You're paid the hourly rate of the aircraft you are awarded at 2.5 hours a day for 7 days a week. I start class on the 11th so if any of this info is incorrect maybe someone who's been through the process can...
In the interview they gave us a copy of the monthly company newsletter. It says the AirTran Jetconnect aircraft are in addition to the scheduled deliveries of the aircraft for the United side.
Received the call on Friday the 25th for a November 11th class! Hiring sounds strong through next year and possibly continuing with the Airtran deal. Any other Oct 24th candidates get the call??:D :D
strikefinder,
I'll be the first one to tell ya to send your resume to them NOW. I sent mine (online resume) in the middle of August with 1900tt and 1300 121multi-turbine. to get my name in the system and then worked on LOR's.
One of my letters was walked in on Monday the 23rd of September...
One more vote for Purdy Neat. I have an older model with the zipper around the very perimeter of the front face. I had to send it back because to this day I still think the rampies loaded 1200#'s of cargo on top of it resulting in the zipper being trashed (warranteed). I do believe the new...
That's affirm. I believe renovation begins some time this fall. First they're going to add onto the B side of the terminal. As to how many gates I'm not sure. Once construction is finished there, construction will begin on the C side. The way I understood it the construction will only be...
1. Well as I understood it, the number was in reference to pilots. However if that number included everybody I'd say there were still, at the very least, close to 200 suits in LAX.
2. Doing pretty good, yourself?
3. Yes.
From the look of the L.A. open house yesterday it may be awhile before they have an "open" open house. I was talking to a Skywest gal on the bus to the airport and she said they logged in around 250 applicants! With the results from SLC, that's around 450 or so people with PDX open house still...
Haven't heard any news of CRJ's as of this time, though the news of the spinoff is still pretty fresh. The last was, in essence, no CRJ's for us (Mesaba) until our contract is complete, which is scheduled for June.
It would seem that the remainder, or a good portion of, the CRJ's would come...
