Why is this such a bad statement? Unless you work at NJA, or your head is up your a$$, its is blatently obvious that the frustration levels have reached an unsafe level. NJA has chosen to create and maintain a hostile work environment.
What Beytzim says is due to all this someone is going to...
Let me tell you a little story about NetJets and sponsoring the yatch races.
A pilot I met this week while at recurrent is actually really good. He has his own boat, made several magazines and has won many prestigious races. He put together a very nice proposal and submitted to NJA. He was not...
Hey Cosmotheassman,
Funny you should post this question. The other day I ws speaking with an EJM pilot about the very same issue. He has been with EJM for 13 or 15 years all with various owners.
Each time an owner sells the plane or one way or another moves on he is indeed out of work. EJM...
Why do we spend so much time trying to explain our side of the story to a dispatcher. Its clear this individual does not see issues as we do and never will. I personaly would encourage all you to focus your efforts elsewhere. Funny enough prior to SU requesting we not have individual discussions...
Dang Grizz, I was all excited for you. I though you got lucky and found a real job. Good luck with the steward stuff. A good guy such as yourself should be moving on but we are happy and lucky to have you.
Some people are getting a 21 question assesment to take in addition to the other stuff but some arent. Stuff like have you flown efis, attended a self study course, are you willing to move etc.
Nick,I personaly wouldnt leave your position for NJA unless you are forced to. We can't tell you if there will be a strike or what the work rules will be. Personally I dont think a strike will happen. If you want to work 14/10 for 5, 6 or 7 days straight, never having a normal sleep pattern or...
Very true.
I know for many, including myself, we are holding out hopes of a retro check and then we will leave. Regardless of the final contract there will be many, many pilots leaving. A bad contract will simply cause a mass exodus. Job or no job many will simply quit.
If NJA refuses to...
I imagine the company would be able to cover trips for a few days maybe even weeks. The problem with 135 companies is they aren't going to drop all their own customers just because big, bad NetJets needs them. EJM and NJI will be able to cover some but with EJM the owner has priority on his/her...
Here is my take on flying trips for NJA and flying NJA airplanes during a strike.
Don't fly NJA trips. Why? Because you will hate it. They will d!ck you around, keep you out longer than you wanted, make you sit around the FBO all day until there is a one way back in the direction of your home...
Deisel, good post.
Its clear a good portion of those working at bridgeway side solely with management and I suppose we cannot fault them. Since Boisture is adept at spin and blatant lies and those upstairs gain all their information from him only then what can we expect.
I especially like...
Without loosing focus on our primary goal of securing a contract that will make NJA a career location we are spending some time and effort in the hopes of unionizing FLOPS.
There are a few problems, however, and the most simple is the fact that we havent achieved the ultimate goal although...
Hey Dan,
Wilson Air is great about picking us up at lower level D but remember to do one thing. Always ask them where the van is currently. I mean, they will tell you the van is on the way when in fact it is doing a van run to a hotel or restaurant. Otherwise you will be sitting there waiting...
I will make no secret of my dislike of NJA scheduling because they are in cahoots with management and running this place in the ground.
The bright spark has been with the new hire schedulers running the Hawkers. They have been efficient and precise and have actually asked us our opinion on...
We could start hiring 1000TT pilots with no twin time and NJA will find some way to spin it so that they are the most qualified and highest paid guys/gals in the industry.
Pheonix,
I meant nothing negative by my step up or step out inference. I am extremely happy to see the progress the Options pilots are making. Unfortunately our respective pilot groups need a union in order to protect ourselves from our "management".
Voice of Reason,
I have no doubt you have a miserable job in an industry you arent even suited for. Your probably to old, to slow and to upset because you were never hired or recruited for anything substantial.
You have rationalized your ineptitude and skill to champion for mediocracy. We on...
