    Southwest Line on Credit?

Just to clarify, that 2.5 year loss of seniority from date of hire... Most AirTran captains lost between 3-4 years off of date of hire. The AirTran f.o.'s who had been more recently hired didn't lose nearly that, they kind of skewed the average a bit being they hadn't been here as long. So I...

SWA - PHX vs LAS for domicile

For the guys who do that... be careful ....I remember in the late 90's several Northwest pilots got caught claiming they lived in Florida when in fact they lived elsewhere simply to not pay state income tax. Not sure what happened to them, just remember the story going around the Detroit hub...

    Checking loads on Expressjet???

Thanks for looking that up for me.

    Checking loads on Expressjet???

I'm looking to jumpseat on ExpressJet 4708 on 3-23, CLE-MKE. Not sure if other guys have this issue, but every time I go to United website it seems to give unreliable info on seats available. For example, checked yesterday evening and there were 25+ seats available, this morning-the flight...

    SWA plan for 15% ROIC

#2. If I didn't gain 32% seniority, you didn't lose 32% seniority, simple math. I'm no math guru...but I did hear it explained once that it had to do with the differing sizes of the pilot groups. Basically, because AirTran had a much smaller pilot group relative to the SWA pilot group...

SWA to speed up Airtran integration.....article

I'm a 10 yr AirTran Cpt...including per diem did just shy of 201K in 2012.....now that was working the system, flying premium trips when I could get them. I definitely sacrificed days off to make more. Hoping to make something close to that over at SWA as an FO, but I understand you have to...

SWA to speed up Airtran integration.....article

Bottom line is even if SIA 1 went out for a vote on the Airtran side...and lets say it passed....most people i've talked with say it wouldn't have passed on the SWA side...so we would probably have the same deal at Airtran that we have now anyway.

    SWA/FL Codeshare

OldManPilot, I think what they were looking at...just a guess...is who was losing more relative seniority maybe?? From what I know, the senior Airtran pilots took a much greater relative seniority hit than the junior guys. Most captains lost 30-35% relative. Many of the stapled junior guys I've...

    What the 717 leaving means

CYU in SJU, Wacky Jack! Hey Ty, I think I know who you are referring to...but I think you got me confused with someone else.

    What the 717 leaving means

Just wondering if SL9 would have passed on the SWA side if it got that far. From the SWA guys I've talked with...probably not. So in reality I guess it didn't matter as it probably never wouldn't have happened anyway without a SWAPA yes vote even if the AAI guys got to vote it in. Who knows.

    SWA/AT differences on Trip Trading/OPs

KBB, Thanks for the info! I figure I might as well start learning things now than later.

    SWA/AT differences on Trip Trading/OPs

Quick question...I'm moving to a base when I get over there. How far from the base would you consider too far a drive to take advantage of this stuff??? Looking at an hour and a half drive to the employee lot. Hope someday to join the exclusive "tournament level players club"!

    Jumpseating on Eagle..How to list?

Hi, wondering if there is a phone number to use to list on Eagle? Thx!

    SWA Side Letter.

Good post, SWA Bubba. I didn't know a lot of those details.

Delta and SWA 717's a done deal?

"I clearly remember a number of AT pilots in my neighborhood having a large DAL Bankrupcy party." Wow, I have yet to meet one AirTran guy that was happy about that. A lot of us AirTran types have been through that before at other carriers and wouldn't wish that on anyone. Sorry to hear that.

Thoughts on the SWA/AAI Integration vote outcome - place your bets!

All of our first officers should get raises as well as the captains that retain their captain positions by 2015. There are 350 or so of us who will lose our captain seats and not get it back for many years,,so for us, pretty much same money, so that is not entirely a true statement. Not...

    Anyone here ever commute?

I have lived in base for years and also commuted for years. I can say hands down it is MUCH easier to live in base. Of course this is coming from a pilot. If you can tolerate where you are at I would stay put.

    ATN ALPA Recalls Move Forward

I believe that you are correct with the average loss being 2 1/2 years. But keep in mind that number is a bit misleading, most of us are getting a 3 1/2 year loss from date of hire. The guys that haven't been here very long are skewing the averages a bit. FWIW.

ALPA MEC tells Gary Kelly no thanks..again

From the AT merger update today: In addition, Dan Katz, SWAPA counsel Jeff Freund, mediator Dana Eischen, and Southwest Airlines Senior Labor Counsel Joe Harris conferred multiple times via teleconference during the week to discuss various mediation and arbitration schedules. During the...

Good bye SL9 Greed- no sir.

I will chime in also. I have been a captain at AirTran for over 4 years now. If it came down to D.O.H. I'd take that over the last deal. I'd lose my captain seat for awhile...let the SWA senior F.O.'s have it...but gain better global system seniority. That last deal had me keeping my seat...
