Playa del Carmen is just South of Cozumel, close to where fladaplane is talking about. It is about 30 miles south of Cozumel and only about 20 mile North of Belize. That whole area is very nice.
You get water that is as clear as the Caribbean (basically same waters) and it is a lot cheaper- or...
Feburary is high season, so expect to pay the high rates for everything.
I personally like the BVI (Bristish Virgin Islands). Easy to get to and easy to Island hop to see different spots. The Baths are a very popular spot for romantics. Bitter End Yacht Club is a great place to stay. Marina...
ocean lord,
why do you brag about being close to death 10 times? Do you think that makes you heroic? I'd say it makes you pretty unsafe.
Get a grip on the ego (i.e. bush flying in Cali- ha bout fell outta my chair) or your gonna be a smokin hole someday.
p.s. Please advise what company you fly...
It used to take me about 2 weeks crusing around 10-15 knots on average to get to Hawaii.
Of course I was on a Naval Ship doing zig zags across the pond, so that may not be a good guesstimate.
Figure that yacht could cruise at 15knots and maybe even into the twenties depending on its...
When traveling via boat, you have to clear customs in the visiting country in a port that has customs clearance. If your destination is not a designated customs port, you would need to go to a port that has a customs agent present. From there you may travel within that country to different...
You wouldn't need a license unless you had passengers paying you (sound familiar?).

Something that big isn't that easy to dock and usually requires a few...
With the 911 anniversary coming up, I thought this was quite appropriate- aero99.
"DO NOT FORGET"
I sat in a movie theater watching "Schindler's List," asked myself, "Why didn't the Jews fight back?"
Now I know why.
I sat in a movie theater, watching "Pearl Harbor" and asked myself, "Why...
I agree with Shawn and I have just skipped the flaps on some landings and slipped it.
Some of the older open cockpits that fly around the field at my office don't have flaps, so the slip is standard for them- at least I see them doing it that way about 90% of the time.
...I have never thought that the dumba$$ not answering his ATC calls needed to pull his head outta his butt only to figure out ATC was calling me. (-**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** rentals with their different tail numbers.)
I guess that was payback for #1.
#3 I never took...
I really wish the day would come when journalist are held accountable for what they report.
The first report I saw said that a package was opened with a white substance and it was near the baggage check area. Then it was in the ventilation system, now the story is that it was a can outside and...
wow.
There are some very good points on both sides of this discussion. I think BJJ's comment that getting his degree provided him skills in time management and prioritization is dead on. Life experience is something one cannot buy or study. What you choose to learn by every experience...
