Because it is a once a year occorance if you sell back all your vacation and sick time. Its not just abnormal, it is hyper-abnormal. And mostly because you didn't explain all of this upfront in your original post.
Dude, that was pretty lame to put that paycheck out there. You can ONLY do what you did if you take NO vacations and don't get sick each year. Completely not normal.
This is what I worry about. Until I see a press release that justifies WHY we would need 400-450 new hires for the next few years, I will believe it is for attrition and a rumor to keep meat in the seats.
Agree, except the 330s... But most of your post validates my 200 NET number. Although if a lot of the attrition is from AA furlough returns, that is good because it comes off the upper half of the list instead of the bottom 10%. I personally doubt many of the AA guys will return, but hope I am...
I'm just saying there are only so many planes coming the next 3 years, 12-15-15. That requires a certain number of pilots, and it isn't 400-450 a year. Maybe the company is planning for a new contract, but color me skeptical...
That's fine, but if attrition or retirements make up a large proportion of that number, we won't NET anywhere near 400-450. Thus (FNG style) We may not get close to 4000 by 2017. Hope we do, but.....
Sorry, the whole "I can't tell you how I know" b.s. doesn't give you more credibility. Your bluepilots.com rumor or similar DL pilots rumor does not become true by simply repeating it. Unless Richard Anderson is your uncle, you don't know ********************.
Give me a break, he would not actually know if this happened. The fact that he was a furlough doesn't mean he knows about a call to the Delta CEO or what ever the rumor is. Repeating rumors around doesn't make them true.
