The 3rd listers aren't stupid. They know they can become captains before West pilots, as long as the SLI remains in dispute.

There is no reason for an APA pilot to want an early resolution to the SLI. There is no reason for an East pilot to want a resolution. There is no reason for a 3rd lister to want an early resolution.

What is the rush? Really?

Once the NMB declares SCS, there will no longer be a dispute. APA and AAG want this done in the manner outlined in the MOU. That seems reasonable to me. The only entity that wants this process to drag out is that dirtbag union that you created.

The rush? We all agreed that we would follow the timeline spelled out in the MOU. That timeline has already been dicked up because you and your union lack integrity. What is so difficult about honoring the agreements that you signed up for?

I guess Turtle doesn't realize that the MOU has no self help provisions and his un-union has an injunction against them. So, when the company wants to make life miserable for everyone, APA can move the whole process along. It's just a card drive away.

From what I am seeing with all this in fighting going on there is no way anyone would want to enter this rat's nest. I'm glad to see unity among the pilot ranks is alive and well, then we wonder why this industry has gone down the ********************ter so fast and deep. You kids need to get on board and see who the real enemy is and that is the management teams that succuessfully divided and conquered your group. They now have free reign to fist your backsides as they please. Aren't there still old time Piedmont guys pissing and moaning over that meger from three decades ago? Get a grip and get unified and try to bring this career back to some level of respectability and decency. You are all a complete embarassment to aviation! Children just petulant children.

KiddDynomite:

It's easy to look down from the outside and like a parent with fighting kids choose not to care who started the fight. Of course, when you're the brother who got kicked and Mom punishes only you because she saw you kick back you view the situation differently.

There's really no neutral position in our dispute. Either both sides are bound by arbitration or not. If you say you can see the point of both sides you're ignoring the integrity issue. We have valid ways of settling disputes and an arbitration is supposed to be the end of that process, not the beginning as the East has made it.

I'd wager if you found yourself in a similar position you'd be hard-pressed to let the other side win just to prevent management from winning.

The East has been an complete embarrassment to the entire industry. Don't get me wrong, there are some great guys over there, but not honoring a binding agreement is BS. Always has been and will be in the future.

The enemy is the one who steals money from your pocket, whose behavior undermines your ability to legitimately negotiate, who actively litigates against you and whose primary goal is to scab the pilot group by walking over the backs of fellow pilots to steal what has been denied them by due process. Every complaint they had about ALPA, they have repeated without a shred of self awareness or shame.

We are well aware of the enemy. They will be kicked to the curb.

Binding on who? That former union that no longer exists? Those guys? HA! Usapa was created to return rational thought to pilot unions. Usapa was created to preserve what we all bring to mergers- longevity and Date of Hire. It's funny to see a Herb Turd lecture is about seniority agreements! Ha!

The point being what? How AirTran turned down an offer that was easily worth several million dollars more for something that was much, much worse? Your choice not mine. That decision was easily the second worst airline union decision ever. The first? USair east forming a new union over binding arbitration. No. 1 and No. 2

St. Nic,

I like how you easily say that it wasn't 'binding'. Please. It just wasn't binding because you didn't like it and decided to take your ball instead of manning up to the facts. The industry sees it the same way.

Considering USAPA's days are dwindling down, you've chosen an odd leg to stand on.
