The XJT may file bankruptcy!

I hope they do. Jerry and Brads stock goes to a penny stock overnight! They would have to open up the books and show the money flow between the carriers. XJT is 60% of SKYW any bankruptcy will kill the stock. This would be the only way to get a fair look at the Co financials. Board members, executives, all major share holders lose millions, rebuilding the trust would be very difficult. Not to metion SKYW has nearly 1 billion cash in the bank! Chance this would happen 2%!

SKYW has a plan if we don't vote yes!

Where is ALPAs plan? ALPA has nearly 100 million dollars in MCF money to be allocated to get a good fair CBA. To my knowledge not one penny was spent on ASA XJT CBA! Where are the ADs, letters to investors, picketing, asking for a release from the NMB? ALPA hasn't done a thing to bring out the best offer from the Co! Chance SKYW has a plan 75% (maybe less it is airline Mgt) Chance these ALPA reps have a plan 5%. Chance we could have a plan to beat MGT with new reps 95%

We will die over time!

They can try. I think the unity from this combined group is enough to pressure the major partners into telling SKYW settle it now or else! They can't find eoungh pilot now. How is Jerry going to replace 4600 pilots?

They will furlough and hire at SKYW! Chance Jerry will follow through 35%. He tired in 2007 to transfer 700s and quit after the pilot group nearly shut the airline down and he realized you can't move pilots and A/C without a merger! There are also Fragmentation clauses if they put the A/C atr SKYW...we go with the planes! Hell their non-union deal is better than this TA.

They will furlough!

The TPA and agreements have No Furlough as a result of the Merger clause. It would be up to ALPA to defend those agreements. If they divert growth, also protected! ALPA national doesn't want a fight. Pressure and good scope would force SKYW to pay us fair! Chance they will furlough 10%

They can't compete

All the CPAs are online look them up. Where would Delta and United find 4600 pilots and an airline with the captial to finance A/C. Look at SKYW earnings reports! Jerry brags about how he can finance A/C better than anyone else in the indutry and the Majors love him for it! They just have to dip into the profits if the pilots get more than others which they hate to do! Chance SKYW with naerly 100 billion in the bank, long term CPAs, aircraft on order, and a shortage of pilots! Think about it!

So why then would the reps cave? FEAR, thought bought they Co threat hook line and sinker. They won't be able to show you one Com financial document proving the need for these drastic cuts in QAL and pay!

Here is one to ask at the roadshows....How much was spent on an SPC center, family and pilot awareness and communications?

How much was spent on ALPA leave for 20 pilots claiming 108+ hours a month to bring us this turd?

How many ALPA pilots will there be on leave making 108+ hours when everyone else is at 75 hours or sorry 65 hours with vacation?

Vote no to this TA XJT pilots.

You will all need good duty rigs after far 117 hits the property!!!

Side not, ALPA national only has 33 million in the MCF.

First of all...absolutely, vote no!

But to your point about bankruptcy...

Take a look at the Mesaba sham bankruptcy to see the path SkyW would take.

"ASA Holdings" is the company that owns XJT, which was created as a shell corporation to get around L-XJT's scope that would have required The SkyW pilot group to be merged with XJT/ASA.

Just like MAIR was able to bankrupt Mesaba, Jerry could bankrupt ASA holdings with out affecting SkyW stock at all.

That being said, f*cking let them do it. We all need to stand together on this and makes sure the pos doesn't pass. If you don't have your applications out, time to pull out the log book.

You guys are so clueless. The company paid for all merger related expenses.

BH's update......SUCK IT! Nothing was said about his 1.3+ mil salary, and other management salaries, and getting those under control. The "World's Biggest (mismanged) Regional" Airline with a fleet of 500 planes! They'll cook the books to get XJT in bankruptcy and gut our contract. So be it. Meantime ask a DAL ramper or gate agent what their bonuses are, or those pay raises their pilots get while regionals like us carry 50%+ of DAL's passengers. Greedy is what they are.

NO!

You freaking baby

Is it the XJT side or ASA side that is the "cost problem"? What are the chances a NO vote equals a ASA/SkyWest merger and xjt ( on paper ) is dissolved, and the xjt pilots fold into the combined ASA/SKW...?? Regardless all regionals are in for a world of pain the next 5 years.. ATP mins, FAR 117, 50 seaters going away, I just don't see any way yes or no vote will help. They fact is no major airline wants its regional to make money... Thats the problem...

^Point taken.. I agree. Its not time for change or to lock into anything or more then a year... To much changing..

Did you see the hotel section, no more downtown or "beach" hotels. Better be up on your tetanus shots!

They don't need to go bankrupt. All they need to do is not renew leases with ExpressJet then bid on it with SkyWest. The gamble is that they can staff SkyWest in the future. Given the recent history of regionals, I am willing to bet at least half of the ExpressJet pilot group would be willing to apply to SkyWest as things wind down. I really feel like this is going to happen regardless of the outcome of the vote on the TA. Really scary, no win situation ExpressJet is done!!

So a 10-12 year Capt is going to apply to Skywest to be a new hire FO? For that matter, all the 6-7 year FO's? Yea, they wanna sign up for 5 more years in the right seat.
