And I'll be the first to say I was wrong....so far. To be continued

I guess I have to eat my projection as well, however, the last time interviewed pilots swam laps in a pool for a year. 200 is about 2% of the workforce, and only required to cover increased vacations and 117 rule issues. So, no hire for growth or retirements as of yet, I'm partially correct.

Goes to show what a soda straw view we line pilots actually have. Apparently, there's a big picture that we're not privy to. Good news is a welcome change.

No matter the reason, hiring folks who will be junior to me is a good thing! They better buy me beer, since I will be on the B scale another year.

C'mon GhettoBeechjet. Southwest made $320 million during the first half of 2013 and is on track for a record $650 million net profit for 2013. Do you really think furloughs are a possibility anytime soon?

That's always a relative situation- I sat reserve for a month- people 300 numbers junior sat for 2+ years.

Make the most of it- the Bay Area doesn't exactly suck- just dont hang out near the oak airport

Anyone know how long the window will be open?
