The fire appears to be in the aft part of the plane away from the battery... Could be a galley issue?
"Meanwhile, Thomson Airways said one of its Dreamliners travelling to Florida returned to Manchester Airport as a precautionary measure, not connected to the Heathrow fire."
787= Epic failure in outsourcing. Margins looked good on paper but can you put a price on quality from real Boeing workers??? Corporate greed...plain and simple and now it's haunting Boeing.

Yup, I talked to a senior Boeing executive several months ago. He said that they will never do another program like they did with the 87.Is the answer really that simple? Or is it more that very cutting edge technology has its risk?

A Veterinarian Surgeon makes 350 a year...
Looks like someone didn't put their cigarette out!
I would dare say that its not just the 73 and military projects that keep Boeing going....lets not forget about the most popular Wide body in history...777. Those things are flying off the shelves and Airbus STILL doesn't have an answer. By the time the 350 gets going, the 777X will be out and once again, TROUNCE the Airbus product!![]()
