Yup, I talked to a senior Boeing executive several months ago. He said that they will never do another program like they did with the 87.Is the answer really that simple? Or is it more that very cutting edge technology has its risk?

The fire appears to be in the aft part of the plane away from the battery... Could be a galley issue?
