This is an entertaining thread. All you other regional guys chiming in to try and manipulate 9e guys into voting this down. No matter how genuinely concerned you sound as you look out for fellow pilots, we all know you could care less about me and my family. if we vote this down you benefit and my family loses. It is a tough decision that im not going to take lightly. I hope fellow 9e pilots disregard the junk you guys throw out there and vote based on what they feel is best. It is unfortunate because this is a really good pilot group and I will miss flying with them.

What's best is not creating an industry low.
Us airways pilots made double this amount over 20 years ago. When does it stop?

They will gladly take your flying. It is not happening to them. They are big talkers.

Simply not true. I've been waiting for 15+ years for my company to fold. They simply won't do it. Still flying the jets delivered in 1997, long before you we're even flying a 152 probably. Our 50-seat rates are more than what you guys are being offered to fly 50% more people. That, for me, would be the end. I'd rather a judge impose that and I walk with what self respect is still left.

We also don't bid below costs. Delta 1/2'ed our reimbursements based on us NOT being low cost enough. Management has kept this place operating without concessions. That can't last if and when daddy Delta finds out how cheap pilots can be bought. They're feeling for the bottom, and ALPA is helping them find it.

I am not really sure how I am going to vote on this thing yet. But since Oakum, J-41, and all their like minded buddies think we should vote no so we can shut down ASAP I think it is great how they have all banded together to start a monetary fund to help pay my mortgage and put food on the table when I am out on the street in 8 months. That makes it way easier for me to vote no on this garbage contract. You are gonna do that, right guys??? Guys...?

What ASA/XJT should do is offer to let the PNCL folks come over with their DOH....Just like we should have done for the CMR folks...But we won't, and we will complain when this TA is voted in....SSDD....

Of course that would assume that the ASA/XJT folks were getting along and could even agree on anything....What was I thinking....

Carry on.....

You can be on the street in any job, at any point in time. I have friends that are unemployed- non airline, make more and less than you, and nobody is sarcastically asking for help. Many had no input as to how "the end" would happen. They take the personal responsibility to make it happen, not b**** and worry about what others are doing.

That being said, I, personally do not envy what our pilot brethren are essentially being forced to deal with. This profession has gone down the tubes and if the public only knew......Anyway, I hope you plan for the best, take care of the family and wish all the best for the holiday season, truly. If we meet in an out station bar, the beers on me.

You know if every remaining pilot in the regional industry was assessed a couple of hundred dollars to give the PNCL guys the same sweetener that DAL is offering in this deal to vote yes, I would be happy to pony up. That would equate to millions, but of course it won't happen. ALPA is in bed with the devil, and never can provide fair representation because of it.

This is just like what they did to keep the Comair guys turning up for work until getting the boot.
It's underhand tactics to ensure delta ALWAYS wins, and the consequences for those that remain at the other DCI carriers will be dire. That is the reality of a yes vote from PNCL pilots that are having their decisions forced in delta's favor.
This is a very clever ploy by delta management and they couldn't care less. Don't expect any sympathy from DAL, or their pilots for that matter. They will win either way.
PNCL guys, you have been dealt a hard blow, now you must vote how you will, however you will always be welcome at ASA as brothers if you decide to stay in this crap hole industry.
I just wish we could come together to defeat this behemoth that is trying to ruin our lives, Gen Lee included!

Best of luck to all. This may be the season of giving, but in Delta's case they more often "taketh away", when it suits them of course. Did someone say Anderson is a lawyer? That ought to paint a picture to explain all this!
