Anyone have any solid info they want to share about the block change happening to the CL-30? I have heard, starts with SN 408, INS, some other avionics upgrades. Anyone else have info?

I heard INS as an 'option' . Eventually, I heard they might stretch it some as the Engines are de-rated right now and could still be used on a stretch version.

I wonder how much difference is gained in range by the g280 just from the newer engines? How hard would it be to bolt them on to a 300?

synthetic vision, ins is all i heard. there is a HUD that will fit but from what i hear bombardier hasn't jumped on the band wagon yet to get it in the airplane.

Gulfstream is claiming 7-8% efficiency gain on their HTFs. 10 years down the development road. That percentage alone might gain 200 miles. Would be great to be able to reliably get from Anchorage to Japan.

What would be awesome is an autopilot that dosent fly the plane like drunken grizzly bear would. Worst Autopilot Ever!

Quit complainin', Celtic! You Challenger guys...

How's things on that side of the state? Better than before I would guess.

Take care.

Agreed. That's my biggest complaint with the airplane. Isn't it fun watching the AP try to fly a localizer with anything more than 15 knots of crosswind???

I'd bet Proline Fusion, INS, and 3400nm+ range.

I've been told "updated Pro-Line 21" - not fusion. INS and 3,400nm range (with a few belly fuel tanks and a gross weight increase) are a good bet...

Surprised it wasn't announced at NBAA.

Change starts with July deliveries....

Std equipment as follows:

1. Dual IRS's

2. 6200 FMS's

3. Synthetic vision on PL-21 displays

4. Dual chart servers.

5. Enhanced XM wx.

A few other minor enhancements. But that's the meat of it...

I don't know the number and have not done the research yet but I was recently told there is an SB out for the crappy autopilot.

I am in school right now... and I have heard all of these same things. Combined with the current engine turned up to 11.
