Fixed it for ya! Quit being so dramatic. And you need to take another look at my user name/profile. I don't break them I fix them. A/C are alot stronger than you may think. This is somewhere between DENIAL and JUSTIFICATION. Dirt and gravel are fine if they are combined and sufficiently packed. Truth be told, the smoothest surface I've seen has been gravel and snow-pack.

Actually, Part 139 requires the safety area (grass, dirt, etc.) to be firm enough to not cause major damage to aircraft (but only under "dry" conditions).

Anytime an airplane leaves the designated operating surface, it's bad.

That it happens to an airline with a reputation for Indy-500 taxi speeds is both predictable and laughable. Fortunately, no one's been hurt during taxi - yet.
