Delta will purchase Pinnacle, the HQ will move to MSP where they are currently renovating the old NWA HQ for 9E, and Pinnacle will operate the 717's with an 86 seat two-class configuration.
Seven I never know whether you are joking or serious. One fact is that scope would currently not allow it.
But we do have those 86 seat rates in our 1113 contract haha............

It's an unconfirmed rumor....hot off the press. Walls being torn down at NATCO and renovations continuing in preparation for our arrival in MSP. Bye Bye MEM. Delta to purchase the "new, improved, and slimmed down" Pinnacle in the very near future.

I'll take a hit off that too bro.

So let me get this right.. Delta parts out Comair, and then turns around and buys 9E.... Doubt it... And if that was true. Would you want that outcome (Comair) 5 years down the road...

The thing is, say what you want about seven, but there is just as good of a chance as that happeining as there is pinnacle shutting its doors. There is only a few select people at Delta and pinnacle that know.

Time: During the last Mesaba bankruptcy

me: "With all that is going on, I think NWA might be making a play to buy us for pennys on the dollar for some future growth."

Senior Captain who knew it all: "There is no way NWA wants to own another regional. They just IPO'd Pinnacle and they want to stay out of the regional owning business. There is no chance of that happening."

Anything can happen. I just want to know two things about the new Delta contract. 1. in reference to the Mitsubishi regional jets-what is the domestic code share language and how strong is it to prevent trans states or Skywest from being a code share partner. 2. If there is a "B" scale provision in the contract for "mainline" wholly owned regionals that have Delta seniority numbers.

My gut tells me pinnacle will be down to 41-140 aircraft by 2015 and Delta pulling the strings one way or another with no chance at any american or United flying.

How many 900's do they have? Thats how many planes they will have by 2015.

You guys are something else!!! Your like vultures circling over a dying animal, and are just waiting for the moment to swoop in and get some scraps. I agree that it is very possible that we go down to 41 900's especially if they don't get the concessions they want, but the real value to Delta would be to have Pinnacle locked in to lower rates for several years to come. That way it sets a new lower bar for other companies when in contract negotiations. I think the whip saw will continue
