Wait for the smackdown in 3....2....1.....
Oh! you mean the relly great ones, like Ford, GM, US Steel, Dana, Merator, etc. All had great pay, great equipment, great days off, and were highly sought after jobs. I think job security in corporate might be worse than the airlines, in fact using job security and flying job in the same sentence is well an oxymoron. I had my lay off experience at a great job with a Fortune 500 company that I thought was a career position.Just looking for top tier in regard to company stability, equipment, location and pay.
Ha! I hope nobody turns into that guy, except I think G200 already is that guy....
please bitches, like I'd ever fly a freakin Hawker or drive an American car.

It's because if one of us worked at "THE flight department", we'd still be there flying happily ever after. The 'conventional wisdom' or 'rumor' or whatever usually has no relationship to the actual conditions at a given flight department because you have to be there and live there and fly there for a while to actually know how good (or bad) it is.Because I prefer to keep that private. I guess Im asking too much to expect one to just say"If I had my choice of flight departments to work for my list would be".... . Doesnt seem that difficult for a group of guys with your experience. Maybe just too much to ask .
Best way to tell if the job is crummy, the work rules are almost non-existant,the base is YIP, and you are probably risking your life-when you check in on day one Pilotyip is teaching ground school.

If you see them profiled in Pro Pilot magazine, the job probably sucks..../QUOTE]
So True!
Not even when he rents from Hertz. Always the "Prestige Collection" for our illustrious brotherimp:.
However, I'm thinking that old LR-35 and the G200 (wasn't it really a Galaxy?)ain't too far off from the Hawkersaurus.
If you reply on FI with long winded paragraphs while spending most of your day at an FBO, you probably are not listed in the top 100 91 gigs.

for right now anyway, I am sure the pilots at Ford, GM, US Steel, etc felt the same way.P&G at LUK.
"Please bitches".........that's a friggin hoot. I love this site, pure entertainment. I hate the career though, full of scumbags and liars.......I should have listened to mom and dad. Keep it coming G200, you the man.

Hate the career?
Its a pretty easy job compared to many out there. It won't make you rich but I can't think of another career with more time off. That time is invaluable when it comes to raising a family or running a side business (or both?)
I am also lucky I have meet very few scumbags and liars. I do find that pilots can be weenies - scared of their own shadows and judgemental....but thats often due to the lack of basic social skills, fear etc.
I really have not run into many scumbags as compared to other professions.
Know any lawyers? -![]()
wise words, but remember he was asking for a job in aviation with security, that is kind of an oxymoran. BTW never burn a bridge when you leave a job, always say nice things, you might want to go back there some day.So did the pilots at Braniff, Eastern, Pan Am, TWA, American and UsAir. All jobs can go away. If it's a great job then enjoy it and always be prepared to leave it. If you like it it's a great job! Never Ever Ever burn your resume and keep in contact with Every pilot you meet!
please bitches, like I'd ever fly a freakin Hawker or drive an American car.

Now wait Mr G100 you don't wanna go here....you're the only male I know who drives a freaking Saturn.
Pulling up in a Saturn to fly an Astra may be enough to end it all.
