Are you one of the cynical free loaders? Seems only one of them would be so defensive. I know many fantastic FAs who have zero problem letting everyone know that freeloaders are on the rise and customer service on the decline.

A plane diverted. A newspaper reported "details". On what basis would anyone second-guess the crew's decision to divert or speculate that the crew was the root cause for the problem?

I'd suggest you go back and read Post #18. I NEVER said I defend bad FAs. They make me cringe and cause me embarrassment. Once again, you're either not capable of reading comprehension (which I don't think is true as you seem somewhat intelligent) OR you want to paint me in a light that fits your agenda.
Not that I'm tooting my own horn, but I was promoted to check FA within several months at my first airline and have NEVER received anything less than stellar reviews at both airlines I've worked for.
I would still love to hear if you think physically assaulting ANYONE is EVER acceptable.

As for the 2nd half of the story- there is absolutely no double standard- im very protective of all my FAs, male & female, young & old- and it truly is irrelevant who escalated what once someone puts their hands on a crew. Full prosecution and hopefully a deserved beat down by a DHer, nonrev, or regular passenger.

Sounds like we have no quarrel - except degree of bad attitude FAs- I believe it's at unacceptable levels-
But I appreciate you deeming me worthy of a response-

Turtle: I haven't assumed anything about the incidents in the OP- all my remarks were in response to others-
I will say that I have seen a lot of carry-over incidents- where the FAs handling freaked out pax weren't the ones that started it- but had to deal w/ it as the pax were at their frustration limit.
But I AM saying, I blame mgmts far more than most individuals- if I were an AA FA- I doubt I'd have a great attitude w/ how that place has been mis-managed-
But then again, I wouldn't have stayed an AA FA- I just wouldn't suscept myself to that environment day after day.
