I think from a passenger's perspective, any landing that results in blown tires/metal scraping will be a "hard landing." Irrespective of if the touchdown was normal and the mechanical failure being caused by a pre-existing condition in the gear.

I am trying to discredit the OP because he is trying to slander our name unnecessarily, and unfoundedly. .

Our name? Aren't you the one who keeps saying "We are all Pinnacle pilots now"? So what difference does it make to you if he bad talk about "Mesaba" Why do you care since you are a Pinnacle pilot now.

I never said our maintenence was better. Trust me, this week isn't the week I am going to be toughting how great our maintenence is. As stated before, I am trying to discredit the OP because he is trying to slander our name unnecessarily, and unfoundedly. As far as the pilot is concerned, I don't know who it is. I know there are a few guys (as with any airline) that could use some work.

As I stated before, I think we need to move forward as one airline. If someone posts or starts a thread that bashes the airline I came from with misinformation, then I will defend my former peers. I am not the OP here, and I am trying to get everyone to move on. That may be a losing battle.

p.s. Also notice that I try to discredit with valid information and pointing out how the OP's information is incorrect as opposed to just calling people names which has happened many times in the other direction (not necessarily Flyer though).

Your strategy of rebutting a known flamer with insults directed at 1300 other premerger pinnacle pilots does nothing but make you look like an a-hole and make your statements of solidarity sound hollow and meaningless. Truth is, very very few people care what happened in mke now or in 2006. Regardless of what happened, it didn't happen because it was Mesaba this or Pinnacle that. I'm just glad fate hasn't choosen me for such an unfortunate event yet. If you really believe in solidarity and leaving your old identity behind, try just disagreeing with the OP and not throwing all other pinnacle people under the bus.

Do you allow people to talk smack without good information about the places you come from? If someone started talking about the place I flight instucted at with information that was either incomplete or incorrect, I would also defend them. I won't bring up stuff with Pinnacle because I think we need to move on. Damn straight I will correct information that was already brought up that discredits where I come from.

By stating that Pinnacle maintenence was the last to work on the strut that failed (which is the truth), I threw everyone at Pinnacle under the bus? Maybe it was the fact I brought up taxiing to the gate after going off pavement? Is my statement on that not true? Is there not a difference there? The OP was implying they are the same thing. If you feel like my comments threw everyone at Pinnacle under the bus, and are insults (that is an extreme stretch, "You two seem to be cut from the same cloth" and saying I "look like an a-hole" are much more insults than what I said, not that I care you said them) I am sorry and I will stop posting on the subject as to not cause more disagreement.

I don't think Flyer is a flamer. I think he truly believes what he posts, and wants to make valid points. This is the first time I have heard a fellow 9E guy call him out as a flamer.

How about that new LOA? That is a piece of crap huh? Maybe we can agree on that?

Flyer, you have issues. Is there a reason you can't just accept the merger and move on? Why haven't you found a faster upgrade at another regional yet? We are all together now. It's time to start acting like it.

Flyer is a tool!
He is a typical know it all that ends up never knowing anything.

The only good thing that came out of some getting hosed on integration is that it will hopefully take him a long time to ever upgrade.
Not sure why you two are talking about the merger. My post had nothing to do with the merger. My first post was truth: Pinnacle had an incident at MKE, and so did Mesaba. My second post was poking at those "know it alls" who already "know" it was a gear strut that caused this. No where did I say anything about the merger.

"Scary moments for passengers aboard a Delta Airlines LearJet this afternoon as it was forced to make a fiery crash landing at General Mitchell International Airport...."

Yeah flyer but you forgot your slam on the Mesaba guys with this remark:

"Yeah, because the runway is what caused the overly excessive sink rate .

And I like some of the XJ guys already talkin about how it was a gear strut problem. You should replace the NTSB, it seems they have no reason to exist anymore. "

This is the same anti-Mesaba stuff you are constantly spewing that drives people apart instead of bringing together.
