Don't worry about us, Bill. We're buying a new car this week, that's how worried I am. ;)

I though you are not even flying currently for AT and make more in your business than you would flying.

I take it you are buying a company car. With company money.
I am sure the (dry cleaner) is not worried either.

I hope you never find yourself having to deal with a medical leave, but it sure would be delicious irony if you became more educated about the process through necessity.

I sure was not mocking being out on medial, I made a statement that you have a business that is doing very well ( as you have stated). As far as being out on medical, i am not sure what the AT gives you, I do know you would be receiving almost 11k a month at SWA. It can be tax free if you elect.

That one benefit could eclipse all others if you needed it. Talk about a backstop! Lose your medical at Southwest and basically still keep making the same take home.....great insurance for sure.

My point was that if I were concerned about the press releases, I wouldn't be out car shopping. . . . Certainly not for the one we're looking at. ;)

I appreciate the more civil tone many folks have adopted lately . . . but the fear-mongering stuff is pretty lame.

The SIA sucked for both of us, we just happened to kill it first.

Define "reasonable", from the outside looking in, both sides could be argued. From what I've read it appears the SWA offer was unreasonable when it came to seniority. Good luck to both of your sides

That may have been the case if this had been a merger. It isn't.

You called it fear mongering we called it a warning trying to let you guys know that SWA would take care of its own. This was disregarded as swa pilot arrogance.

Most don't understand the mentality of an airline company not trying to screw over its employees for a nickel but that is not how southwest works and to save the corporate culture that help keep southwest in the black I fear for what can happen to the airtran employees if Gary feels this integration will mess with the SWA culture.

Wow....you SWA guys still call selling all AT F/Os down the river "taking care of our own?".....

Pretty much sums it up!

Bill,

The AAI FO's were going to make AAI CA pay immediately with this AIP. So how did there career expectations change...as a matter of fact they would have gotten dramatically better, in every way!
