If under 135 you fly charters right up to the last day of our grace mounh, and you never go to training, to a few months latter, I know you become s pumpkin, but is there a FAA penelty, or is it just that your base month resets?

All flights conducted as PIC in your grace month would be illegal and subject to violation. Complete the training prior to the last day of your grace month or only fly as SIC during your grace month.

New base month, and depending on how long you waited after grace, the training authorization will need to say 'requal' and not 'recurrent'. Same training, just a different box checked on the 8410 I think, but someone that does 135 will chime in if I'm not correct.

I didn't read into he was continuing to fly AFTER the grace? Yikes!

No not flying after grace mouth, I remember years ago Therenwas a fine to discourage reasitting grace month to reduce training cost.

They don't care about resetting your base month as long as you did not act as PIC during your grace month. I would stop flying as PIC after 6 months if I planned on taking a few months off.

You can fly as PIC in your early grace month, base month, and late grace month. Then depending on the type of training you need, 293, 297, or 299 you may fly as SIC thereafter. The day after your late grace month you do a requalification instead of recurrent and you get a new base month.

correct, and you could continue to fly as F/O if you took an IFR SIC 135.293 a and b within the last year. Plus you could fly part 91 as PIC.

I beg to differ. First their is no such thing as an "early" grace month. But back to the point. If you fly as PIC in your "grace" (13th) month and you do not complete your recurrent training in that month, then all that flying, as PIC in the 13th month, is illegal.
