Hey guys I was wondering if you could tell me the best way to get the jump on a skywest flight? Is there a nonrev number to list with or just show up at the gate? Thanks!

just show up. Many of the 700 routes are weight restricted in the summer with the density altitude and long stage lengths from High Alt places like denver. With a long leg we end up going at MTOW and sometimes bump pax to carry all the fuel. Anything 2 hours or less can almost always go full with a jumpy. hope that helps.

sky worst sucks

Wow thats pretty pathetic? we can go full with an alt in the xr any you cant? what a piece of crap HA Ha ha . I guess you get what you pay for just like jerry and expressjet huh? HA Ha ha. Just walk up to the gate and badge 'em you'll be good to go I guess?

Wow, man that XR must be a beast if you can go full with an alt. Sounds like you are really proud of your regional jet.

Dude. Its an RJ. as in REGIONAL JET. not national or International jet. Great for SFO-FAT or DEN-RAP, etc. Going SAT-SFO is pushing an RJ to 1350 NM. 3+ hours on that should really be an A319-320 .etc. (but thats a whole different discussion) All Im saying is going those longer routes is a stretch to carry the fuel plus bags, plus people plus a jumpseater.

Cheers!

Not really but I am proud that I get paid more than you to fly a 50 seat rj HA Ha ha.

Wow...is that the best you can do? No matter how you spin it in that little mind of yours...peanut wages are peanut wages. Regional pay is regional pay, so enjoy your measley few dollars more :)

I do have to say, thanks for killing my time with your sub par comments while I sit in business class on my flight from Tokyo to LAX during our MX delay for another 30 minutes at the gate.

On a side note...hahaha...the Delta captain next to me is cracking up that you are so proud of the fact you are comparing regional to regional pay. He agrees the pay is ********************, but cannot believe someone would actually brag about it.

You will be just fine, unless the SKYW "asks" a deadheading SKYW pilot to sit in the jumpseat so they can add a revenue pax. Then you won't be going anywhere.

Another coex tool, you guys have so many gems over there I can't believe it. You have fun on that rj, with that attitude I am sure you will enjoy a very successful career flying in the minor leagues.
BTW I enjoy making twice what your most senior captain makes flying 10 days a month on my CE680. Ha Ha

Right up until your company decides that airplanes are too expensive, and the ticket on the "regional airline" is cheaper.
Rock meet glass house.....

Maybe, fortunately this guy is a billionair, so I would be much more worried about being at an airline as far as job security goes.

Billionairs down size, upsize, so unless you are his nephew or brother-in-law, you are in the same boat as the rest of us.

No doubt about it, but at least for the time being the money is good and the schedule is good. If it lasts great, if not, oh well, I invest the majority of the salary for a rainy day.

Where is the Gulfstream if he's such a baller?

Could have bought a g450, did a demo in one, but considering the missions we do in it the 450 didn't make sense. Maybe in a few years we will get a 5 or a 650, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to fly that from san to las with 2 people. Back to the point, this guy from coex was laughing about skywest wages, I found that funny. I have also noticed that from several coex people and think its comical.

What's comical you freakin' tool is that you haunt the regional boards even though you make bank at, GET THIS, OUR COMPANY, {QUOTE}," WE WILL GET A 5 OR 6". You ain't gettin' sh!t buddy you just get to throw bags. Sky west has the tools d0uche I jump seat with 'em all the time.

BTW I'm in beachside bar & grill all the time, stop by and we can talk !
