Ironically, Jerry may do what ALPA was never able to do...Eliminate most of the competition for regional feed within a brand....We would all be better off to support this rather than the usual whining...This is a GOOD thing for those of you who want more leverage.

Don't think so... They are still choking on xjt... First loss in 25+ years... Doubt they are looking at anything right now. In 2 years maybe..

And nothing that XJT did or did not do caused that loss. WX cancels were a huge factor, they did some early heavy checks on CRJ's(not cheap) and a couple other things I dont remember, however XJT was NOT mentioned as a reason that SKW inc lost money.

I love this "assets only" talk. You sound so proud about that type of deal. You understand that if an "assets only" deal takes place, you are screwing your fellow pilots, right? Also, what happened to 9E buying Horizon? Mark my words, if 9E buys them, I will want fair integration of their pilots.

I'm confused. When did a pilot group ever buy a carrier, and determine what kind of sale it would be? How is the pilot group screwing anyone? These are corporate decisions. Pilots fly airplanes where they're told to fly them.

I agree, but these guys sound proud (I might be wrong, it's tough to read emotion) and will make no effort to try pursuade their companies to take on the pilots. There is this funny thing called unions. If an ALPA carrier is purchased, I would hope to hell that they make a play to get their fellow union guys jobs after an "asset transfer". I understand pilots have no say in whether or not a carrier is purchased, but there is no reason they have to sit by and let it happen either.
