AND the FACT that no F9'ers can run for office was made VERY CLEAR by FAPA to the Dumpstah leadership. When asked about it, AND asked if it could be CHANGED, they just kinda went "...er...uh.....really? Uh...er....um... gotta go now..." Mark my words, ya can't NEVER get a good nights sleep after beating your wife.....

Yup, you really can't read and comprehend can you. Read it again and again. If you can't, ask for someone to read it for you. If you still can't understand, go back to school and learn how to.

Another F9 pilots credibility and integrity got shot down by his own arrogance.

SECTION 4: ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Eligibility to membership in this Local Union shall be as set forth in the International Constitution, and applicants for membership shall comply with and be subject to the requirements imposed by these Bylaws and the International Constitution.

IBT Constitution page 16

(d). To be eligible for election to any office in a Local
Union a member who has been involuntarily transferred
from one Local Union to another Local Union must have
ART. II, SEC. 4
[ 16 ]
worked at the craft as a member under the jurisdiction of
the Local Union from which he has been transferred, and
must have been so employed and in continuous good
standing on a cumulative basis in both Local Unions for
a total of twenty-four (24) consecutive months prior to
nomination.

Been a pilot at F9 for 24 months?

Pay all your dues?

You are welcome to seek nomination and run. Always have, always will.

So FAPA is a "Local Union" as defined by the IBT?

Regardless, the section you cite is not applicable due to the fact that 357 is a new charter.

See Section 4.A.4(b) of IBT C&B

"
In newly chartered Local Unions which have been in existence for
less than twenty-four (24) months, a candidate for Local Union office
must be a member and in continuous good standing in such Local Union
and must have worked under its jurisdiction as a member for at least
half of the period of time since the Local Union was separately
chartered by the International Union.
(c). In newly chartered Local Unions, chartered as a result of
split-off or merger, a candidate must be a member of the newly
chartered Local Union, must have worked in the jurisdiction for a
total period of two (2) years, and for a total period of twenty-four
(24) consecutive months prior to nomination must be in continuous good
standing on a cumulative basis in the newly chartered Local Union and
the Local Union from which the newly chartered Local Union was
split-off or with which the newly chartered Local Union was merged.

So Either your EXCO doesn't understand the IBT By-laws, or they are being disingenuous once again.

ExCo Chairman Pat Gannon has agreed to meet with our pilot group tomorrow. While I can't attend the meeting, I'm sure the question of having to wait 24 months will be asked and clarified. This whole representation "issue" might turn out to be a moot point anyway...time will tell.

This will never be over. Ever.

Pride will see to that.

After seeing the email chain about this meeting, I don't blame him one bit for declining your gracious invitation.

Of course you don't blame him, you want him to keep perpetuating that the Local 357 is the answer when in fact they can't even answer the most basic questions.

The Exco chair was invited so the frontier pilot group could ask him some easy, honest questions.

Pat wanted to bring IBT Airline Division reps so they could answer questions about the history of 747.

No one out here gives a sh1t about the history of 747, and FAPA spent most of the month of May meeting with the IBT AD. Pat was told he could bring the 357 Exco, we wan to hear about the future not the past.

Pat reneged and decided to stay home.

This is the IBT's version of unity. It's "our way or no way".

I find it incredibly ironic, and a bit sad, that in one breath the Local 357 claims to be practically independent and in the very next breath they need IBT national to protect them when going gets just a little bit rough.

We are doomed if this is the fortitude of our next "leadership".

Here is another example of IBT Local 357 autonomy and ability.

There was a few RPC volunteers in the MKE crew room the other day. Just pilots talking with pilots.

Later that day an IBT AD business rep barges into the crew room and starts to argue with the RPC pilots.

Doesn't the Local 357 have enough pilot supporters to advocate for their election?

Apparently the only folks really interested in the IBT's success are the IBT national business agents. If I was him, I would be concerned about the election especially when you consider how much the Local 357 is paying DT and the rest of the IBT national staff.

Keep paying for his pension and health care boys!

This is going to be one of the back breakers for the Frontier Pilots.

We have a DC Plan that the company contributes 6% into on top of the 401k match of 5% (temporarily reduced but snaps back in 2012).

That is 11% of the companies money that we negotiated for our retirement.

You have the exact opposite at the IBT Local 357.

The IBT is taking YOUR money and FUNDING THEIR staff's pension.

While other IBT members can retire with a fully paid pension that lasts the rest of their lives, the IBT Local 357 pilots are left to fend for themselves.

I can guarantee that I will not forfeit ONE PENNY of my salary or dues to fund someone else's retirement.

Pat better use the time he was going to spend in denver productively. I would recommend he starts out by enrolling the Local 357 into the IBT Central States Pension Fund.

If it is good enough for the rest of the IBT (including IBT AD Staff), why isn't it good enough for the IBT AD pilots?

Please MAN UP! No excuses DRIZ. Not this time.
Our pilots have been in your crew room at MKE talking to your pilots getting an ear full. At least we have the balls to talk to you guys. Quit hiding behind your Binky blanket 357. We want to hear from the 357 Exco who are going to be potentially representing us, not the national.
