More favorite quote by the resident pilot wanna-be

I have a lot of friends currently flying RJ's and in school to become RJ drivers who are salivating at the chance to fly the Southwest banner. Its going to happen sooner or later.

Do you guys think Southwest would buy 190's and fill the right seat with guys paying to sit there in return for a seniority number at Southwest. They could start a PFT program like Gulfstream and have it managed by Higher Power. Trade in the old 737's for new 190's, start a PFT program and it will save the company tons of cash. Plus, you guys could get your growth again!! I bet you'd have guys at places like Riddle and Jet-U salivating to get that Southwest seniority number.

Family= 747 = Heavy Iron

Go with Family

Maybe 130K for a Capt but an FO??? That is ridiculous.

I have to agree with Whataburger also. Codeshare is a good cash cow for you guys.

Plus if it goes good then Southwest can probably look into RJ's filling its smaller cities like LBB, RSW, or even ONT to name a few. It will save money for the company. I'm suprised Southwest hasn't worked out a deal with Riddle to start a Southwest training academey. The future looks bright!

Yeah............you sound like the kinda guy SWA would love to employ.................NOT

What does a pilot candidate who is invited to face to face interviews wear to that interview? What can he/she expect at the first interview?

A question for all of you applying to SWA a prospective pilots. Plan "A" is to be hired at and become a pilot for Southwest. Those of you who do apply will become pilots for SWA. However, some of you who apply won't get hired by the airline, are there any alternative flying careers other than SWA you may consider?

No matter what happens, good luck to all of you!

It should read 260 total. Not sure where the 188 original number came from but the poolies and internals totaled 160. But I have also heard the 200 more rumor floated as well but the official # is 100 more at this time....

As of 3/16/2011 we've had 162 poolies/internal hires enter the training center this year; I believe that will be the last class for March? Not sure what happened to the other 26 which would make it 188 total? I was told yesterday that the word around the training center is more than 100, but anything could happen.

You have to use the old Word (2003) in the .doc format. For some reason the site won't take Word 2007 in the .docx format.

I think your best bet is to use the cut and paste option. The format doesn't really matter on that initial resume, IMHO.

Thanks for the replies-I have it now....third time the charm.
In Europe struggling with a way slow connection

If you have Word, save it as a PDF file (or download one of the free converters). Works like a charm...
