Mesa Airlines was ranked No 1 among US regional airlines in on-time arrivals, fewest mishandled bags, and fewest consumer complaints for 2010, according to the US Department of Transportation Air Travel Consumer Report.

These DOT statistics are the industry standard measures of performance, and Mesa earned the top rank among regional airlines in 2010 for each area that comprises coveted Triple Crown recognition.

Mesa’s 2010 on-time performance was anticipated, as the company had finished each quarter of 2010 as the top regional airline in on-time arrivals. The performance in the fourth quarter for flight completion and on-time arrivals among regional carriers was impressive in light of significant weather challenges in the Midwest and Northeast.

ACARS has been installed and being used in the United system for a very long time. The US Air system will be up and running April 1st.

All those airlines you listed went into BK because of 911 and the economy. Mesa went under because of J.O. unable to run an airline properly.
And he is still at the helm.

Remember, it's cyclical. In the mid to late 90s, YV was humming along too. Growth, mainline partners doing well, then it nearly all went away. I remember sitting in that conference room in FMN with mgmt telling us that they had about 6 weeks worth of cash on hand and hoped that some upcoming changes would work.

The growth again, then slide back down, this time to BK.

So, good for them for showing improvement but don't be surprised when the bottom falls out again.
