Republic Airways has a $15,000.00 training contract that exists for the first 2 years of employment. If you leave before 24 months is up, you owe them. After looking over the contract it appears that if you left right away, you would owe them 15k over the course of 36 months. But if you leave later, it's prorated.

Just curious if these training contracts are ever enforced?

The Reverend will get HIS money.......just to prove a point. Maybe even pay for the cruise he gave away on the show.

I've heard of people leaving and they don't come after them for the money. If you leave, be prepared to pay but if they don't come after you, even better. I agree, only a shante operator needs these contracts, but unfortunately there are a lot of people that have them.

I know a guy that left after 15-18mo and never heard a peep about it...but that was nearly 4 years ago.

I also know a guy that left around 15 months and never heard anything. I was also told by a lawyer that training contracts can not be enforced. They may ask you for the money but you would have a pretty good shot in court not paying a penny.

That's not true. You can sign something on a toilet paper and consider it an enforceable contract. You will be rolling the dice.

Ps.. I never thought I'd see a thread where someone was trying to bust the RAH contract... I thought its the best place to be.

I worked at CHQ for 9moth and resigned for personal reasons NEVER once did I receive a bill or request for payment. Its a scare tactic to ensure CHQ financially balances their investment in your training with the revenue earned on your labor.
