TORT/Nanny State Government is what is wrong. Spilled Coffees and haphazard attention to seat positions and security on seat rails laid the ground work for where we are today (the snowballs chance in hell this industry will ever be as prosperous as it was in the 1980's and 1990's.)

ATP Flying 91 Flight Department I met in FBO recently actually believes that the above had nothing to do with the demise of Beech/Cessna/Piper in 80's or the Million Dollar cost of today's Barons and more to do with Reagan Tax Cuts. Strongly believes the Congressional agenda started in 2006 prevented our current situation from happening sooner and Bush Tax cuts are what will put him (if ever) out of his current gig. Also had no clue of what his boss paid for the iron he was flying or had ever heard of [how much] personal property tax is paid on that same equipment every year and how that translated into a LOWER paycheck for his ego/family. OH! But "that is where the GOVERNMENT(TAXES/You/me) make up the difference!" That wasn't you was it, Dassault? How is the Falcon side of the house doing over there at NJA? Two possible answers are "great" or include the word "Bush"? Either way you would be lying out of what you are sitting on. Better get up before you suffocate.

It is amazing how Fox get's blasted in every liberal spew. Libs are full of hot air and little fact or authentic/genuine position. For every 7/1 ratio, they spend the bulk of the 7 talking over them, balancing the actual time "talking" to 50/50. You must not also forget, how much OF OUR MONEY NPR/PBS and other outlets spend and have 0/7 conservative views expressed in their programming. Their annual Budgets tower in contrast to that spent by murdoch and others to get the conservative views broadcast. Never mind Fox is pounded every day by ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, etc? Fox has 24 hours communicate AGAINST 144 hours of competition? Seems to me that 7 Conservatives for every one Lib in their broadcast schedule makes the overall media bias BALANCED?

It is depressing that centrists such as myself are now grossly outnumbered by both the fox fanboys and the liberalazis. The center used to be where the edges would meet to generate consensus. The center was where pragmatism met idealism, where greed met generosity, where the dollar met demand. Now, it is just an empty alley, a demilitarized zone above which the missiles of extremism fly. I feel like a relic. What I really am, of course, is hopeful. When all the extremists fail miserably, I'll still be here, with my favorite politicians seated front and center, where the action is, instead of on either side, where the sound of whining drowns out any sensible arguments, and stumbling mediocrity slows their steps.
