So anyway no one heading up there? Yeah it's called being unemployed... And the world of regional's is a walk compared to what many part 135 guys do while flying for ******************** bag cargo companies.. sharing a rental car to an interview is a lot better than living off of $10 per diem, sharing a room at the red roof in Yip and making $12000 a year 5 years ago when I got "my shot" at being a Lear FO... Or upgrading to captain and flying with guys who are 50 and have been in the right seat for 10 years with nothing more to offer than a warm cup of coffee and a dorky smile that made me swear they had a gotten their training at Chuck-e-cheese on the space craft ride. So spare me the good luck at the regionals, trust me I've seen worse. I'll take my first scheduled days off in five years with a pay check I don't have to cash at the bank(hopefully it clears), real sim training, flight benefits, health, dental , and life insurance which I'm sure ain't the best but it's something. But most importantly I'll take a job to stay current and pay my bills. Well kinda pay my bills. Sorry about the rant but I'm not a "just happy to be here sir" guy and I know what I'm getting into. I just wanted to know if there was anyone who could help me pay for the bull ******************** car I have to rent to get to my job interview thats paying me what a managaer at Taco Bell makes. Gracias, PM me if you are.

Been exactly where you're sitting. Same hotel actually. Almost got kicked out of it after downing a bottle of whatever it was I bought "coming back from the casino...".

Good luck on the interview. Compared to the world you're coming from, any regional is heaven. Except maybe NoJet.

Yip is a blast hah? I think Gary , Indiana was my favorite. Hotel lady told me once that "we should be careful, cause a lot of people have been getting murdered around here" wow

What is the incentive? Guess that depends on your perspective... I felt like a D'Bag collecting an unemployment check and wanted to get off it as soon as I could...

I 100% agree with you...it would suck, but unfortunately all too many do not agree with us!

Got lucky and stayed away from Gary. Spent most of my time in that Red Roof and eating at the worlds slowest McDonalds. We'd leave here every Monday morning, repo the airplane to YIP and camp out there hoping for a trip. In three months I think we flew 2. Did a whole lot of liver damage up there though!

Lemme know how that interview goes. After flying one of those fuel sucking jets from hell, you ought to do fine. I don't know what kind of guys are getting the interviews these days, but anyone who can make a five course meal from a vending machine and FBO popcorn should get a few extra points.

My guess is that its a good thing

I would be careful. Odds are the people hiring you read this website. I am sure there are only so many interviewing so I would accept that they will be able to put a face to the name on this flightinfo post with all the details it provides. That could be good or bad.

After that response, PM me your address and I'll send you 1/2. I'm serious. Put a buddy's name and address if you don't want to i.d. yourself to me.

Hell burger! I'll get the other half for him. Just when I thought I had it bad as a Dash 8 Captain.

Crap, I'd send him dinner money, but I'm furloughed and need it myself!

I've lived that life. Bailed a boss out of jail three separate times. Same moron all three. Had a bank chase me down because a paycheck bounced and I had already spent the money. When I got to Piedmont it was like Heaven on Earth!

You newbies probably didn't deal with half that stuff! Always strive to make your current workplace a better one, but never forget where you came from. Surf and I have compared many notes in the cockpit. He knows where he came from. I'm better Whataburger does too.

Hope that interview goes well. God knows you've earned it!

I"ve been employeed, unemployeed, bailed dudes out of jail, been bailed out of jail, voted no, voted yes, happy to be here, and happy to help someone out.

That's a most excellent way to put it!

Haha, thanks guys for the support. I hope I get it as well I have interviewed at two places a PIC position part 135, or this SIC in the 121 world..6's i guess. All in all the people at Air Wis were FANTASTIC! I couldn't speak higher for any group of people giving an interview. Very professional, courteous, and straightforward. I have replied to those who PM'd me. Thanks for the offer's guy's..I'll take the drinks....AGFO

Hey all just got my thanks but no thanks from Air Wisconsin. Luckily got a another job offer yesterday (part 135 :( ) but itS a job. Anyway congrats to all those who were hired. Curious though if you were hired why was your background ? Thanks

I interviewed there last week, got a rejection email yesterday. Furloughed NetJets, ex-Chautauqua. 4800tt 3600me. The people were nice, interview was short simple and easy, about 15 minutes. They asked if I would resign my seniority number at NetJets if offered the position. I politely said no, and explained why and that I wouldn't be likely to get a recall offer for several years. Oh well. I just can't justify giving up recall at a job that pays 3-4x more. During the company overview presentation they used the phrase "we shouldn't have to furlough this fall" twice....very encouraging.
