Well, the Part 91 corporate flight department may be going to uniforms.

The dress shirt, tie, and dress pants may be out.

With that said, in (forgive me for never noticing these things but...), in corporate/charter land,

(Will spend a little more for quality)

Shirt - recommended brand ?
Shirt - short sleeve all the time (flight jacket in winter) or long sleeve in winter?
Epalets - Gold or Silver ? Black or Navy board?
Pants - Brand? Color?
Tie ?

thanks

I've gotten a lot of uniform supplies from these guys.

Black or Navy Blue pants are a personal choice. I have noticed that black pants are easier to find and replace if you get a tear on the road. Also, the gold braid shoulder boards are available anywhere.

Johnson's does a really good job for wings, just get them a jpeg file of your company logo and voila.

Good Luck,

Big time company, Northwest, Usair, United and Netjets all use them. Very good quality and very nice to deal with. We are a single plane operator with 3 pilots. They had no problem setting up an account for us and treat us just like the big guys.

They will set up an account with your style so that if you have a new employee bringing them up to speed is painless

We use Landsend for shirts. They are the only ones who will custom tailor a shirt over the internet. Pick one style and then let pilots purchase over the internet as necessary. Keeps the uniform BS down to a minimum.

We use Landerwood Pilot Shirts and are happy with them:

We wear long sleeve shirts in the winter, short in the summer and standard black uniform pants. We had our ties custom made but that can be a hassle. If you can find one at Lands' End or a similar location, that would be easier. We have had more trouble with ties then anything else...

Not only that, but they are made in the USA. Having people in this country with jobs cant be a bad thing.

No offense to anyone intended....but man-o-man...do whatever you can so you can use "silver" shoulder bars. Gold bars are so Caribbean Island or South American prop plane attire.

Silver is so much nicer. Black pants, silver bars, silver pen, black zip-tie with silver tie-clip, white T-shirt.

Black and silver.

The business is called Pilot House but the website is pilotshirts.com

they have great quality in a variety of fabrics, shapes, and sizes. They even have a tapered style in case you're not box shaped like the Van Heusen shirts. Oh and long sleeve pilot shirts are a red flag that means you are either weird or have tattoo sleeved arms. That's just personal experience, 95% of the guys I've flown with who wear a long sleeve pilot shirt turn out to be strange ducks.
