I popped in around 1998. Dialup modem only. (I wasn't at TWA yet.) I was on the Compuserve AvSig before then.

I remember when floppy discs were 8" and gay meant happy.

To all of my children out there.....

Yes, I have been on this board for years, and it has given me a lot. I actually enjoy the banter, and I like giving smackdowns and taking krap too. Yes, I am still married, and we have fun together. Yes, I still lift weights and ride bikes, and I think I look FANTASTIC. I still don't EVER want to fly to LBB, or to only fly 737s on multiple leg days with 25 minute turns, forever. I still think the Comair guys were jerks after 9-11, and those guys should suk it. I still think some of the SkyWest guys will do anything for larger planes. I still think Ozone Park and Yonkers are great places for Jetblue guys to live. I actually like Ty Webb now.(we had a rough start) I think CRJ567 works at the local McRonalds and brings home urinal cakes to eat before he lays in his straw/hay bed. Tankerclown and Frank Lorenzo make me laugh. And, I am glad we merged with NWA.

So, I can't wait for my 7 year anniversary, and my 13,000th post. IT WILL SIMPLY BE FANTASTIC, and I will jump up and down---right after I lift some weights and ride my bike upon returning from a fantastic RIO trip.

Bye Bye---General Lee

Wait a second, I remember being on here long before 7 years ago. That has to be wrong. Wasn't there a thread "Where in the World is General Lee" back around 9-11? I was on vacation for awhile as I remember....

Bye Bye--General Lee

At least 10 years for the SWA/FO...

Started checking the place out in '97? Could have been earlier, if it was around, not sure. Used to also check out propilot.com; run by a Skywest guy if I remember correctly. FARdoc had a good sub-forum for FAR questions. Don't think either one is operating anymore.

Oddly enough, I'm member number 23 out of 84,000 and change.. I think that's from when the site changed from the old msg board system to the current vbulletin format.

Yep, I had forgot about that one.

Where did you fnd that info?

Hover your mouse over your (or anyone's) username in a post and look at the bottom of the screen.. the number is your "user number". You are 1212. The join dates go back to 2001, when they switched to this form, I think. A lot of us have been here longer, obviously.

Thanks for the tip . . . . unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work in Firefox.

I got involved at airliners.net first...back when there were actually airline pilots over there before all the management wannabes ran most of them off. Came to Flightinfo a few times and I think even registered a name but couldn't remember it and never posted. Finally registered and started posting in 2004.

Click on your user name and it gives you a page that shows your join date. 3-5-2004 for me, #13788. I feel so "Junior".

Jimborealgoodpilot!!
Talk about a blast from the past. Didn't he always end his rantings with "props are for boats" or something like that?

What about TIS. He still around?

Doc's FAR forum was a great resource.

Been lurking/checking in since '97 maybe '98.
