I believe your correct but just curious about what the proposal is for days off and QOL promises in their pilot agreement. Guess I will find out in less than 2 weeks when I fly out to interview. Has anyone else on here had an interview with them and have any gouge?

are you interviewing for a Capt position or a FO position? I applied some time a go for a FO position and haven't heard anything. Good luck with the interview, I hope you nail it! Z.

I have the type but alas no PIC time either and not a whole bunch of SIC time in the 73. Most of my time is PIC turboprop..... hope you get it!

Here is some info I posted elsewhere.

My whole trip was scheduled for 5 days, primarily because the airport I flew out of didn't have daily flights. I would expect at least 4 days, 2 days being the interview. Day one was a welcome brief followed by the advanced compass test. This test had a memorization test, math test, aeronautical test, task management test, an instrument interpretation test with RBI, Attitude and compass indicators and a hand/eye coordination test utilizing a joystick and rudder pedals. The aeronautical test asked questions pertaining to runway lights and taxi lights, fuel efficiency/cost index. No worries about the interview not really technical more tell me a time type of interview. Then you will have lunch at the sim facility where you will do a sim ride in a 737-800, 2 approaches no FD, AT or AP. If you make it,Day 2 is HR brief, psychometric testing, panel interview (tell me your stories) Psychologist debrief (how crazy are you) then an in depth physical. As far as spouses they really didn't encourage bringing your spouse, but they were more than happy to offer someone your spouse could speak with to answer questions. If you paid for your spouse to come out I don't think it would be a problem. Fly Dubai just isn't going to pay for them to come out until you are offered the job

That's probably a pretty good sign I would say. When are operations expected to start up?

They are expected to start up in May. with 6 aircraft for this year and a total of 54 by 2015 I believe. I don't know what the intended delivery schedule is, but from everything else they told it sounds like a pretty good gig.

Hey Fly2AK,

Good luck on your application. Can you tell us what % (roughly) of interviewees are North American vs. European, Middle Eastern, Indian, etc.? I presume it will follow the EK model which is pretty global. Just curious whether they are interviewing a lot of other Americans or any specific group more than others. I know there are a lot of Europeans out on furlough who have 737NG experience too.

Sounds like an interesting gig with decent QOL if you are home every night.

Hi Johnsonrod...Thanks, the trips will be all out and backs so yes your home every night. The mix up while I was there was mostly american. My group was 3 out of 4 were american and the next day interviewees had 3 out of 4 were american as well. I didn't come across anyone that was local to the region. There was acouple British and Canadians. I was there for 4 days. Good luck.

The medical is like the asian carriers or like a military flight physical if your familiar with them. EKG, blood work, hearing booth, eye exam, chest x-ray, they pretty much cover everything.

Do they squirt that gunk in your eyes which dialates the pupils so they can look inside?

Last time I had that done I literally walked into a glass door and smashed my nose up.

The offer letter mentioned possible class dates of May 31st but I was expecting more of a late summer time frame. Good luck to the rest and I will do my best to help any of you with information that might help you.

When you think about it, now is probably a good time to go to Dubai - the real estate certainly will be a lot cheaper... You could probably find some good deals.
