Didn't have to. They kindly showed myself and 146 other pilots the door. Now they can afford to provide "joyride" flights to internet bloggers. Class act company.
 
That is just a write off. I was the IRO on one of those flights..... It was cool.

All I know is that we sold f%$#ing FAIRLAWN BABY!!!!!

CAL sucks, and I quit before I even started at that place. LOL

They said, you're hired, and I said, ummmm, NO THANKS! LOL

yep and uncle tilty and his as shole gang are showing 950 of us out the door.
 
Yeah, terrible place. Today was my last day of 6 on reserve, which I have not flown this month yet. I was suppose to go on call at 0700. At 0630 the phone rings from scheduling and they just wanted to let me know that I was released into days off.

Geez this place...how dare they call and release me. Geez, if only I was a doctor then maybe I can actually go to work and earn my money.


You guys are nuts....quit this place and go get a real job. Lets see how you like that...
 
I am quite impressed with SFR. Most flamers like TANKERCLOWN, INSTRUCTORDUDE, and POCONO all point out the negativities of an airline.

SFR points out a positive, and everbody still gets upset.

Sean,

You are barely holding on to a position in Iah on the 756, will you be talking this much trash when you get displaced to the 737 in the fall? Reserve is a different ball game over there.

You are correct about that...what am I ..4 from the bottom on this last bid. Oh well, when I transferred down from Newark I was the same %.

Either way God is in control, not me... it has worked out very well so far.

Also, if that is the case maybe I will take a self made LOA....

Most flamers on here bash certain companies...because they got turned down, can't get an interview, or did something stupid and they are stuck where they are....just how it goes.

Just had a buddy of mine turn in his papers 2 weeks ago! He was a APR 2006 IAH 737 FO...
He took a corp gig... 125K to start plus Health Ins

Lucky!

Good for him, too bad he was junior to me. Why would he quit? At the corporate job he will actually have to fly...

Unfortunately he will most likely regret that decision...

I left CAL in the Spring of 2007 after 1.5 years. Never worked as hard and never been burned out as much.

Honestly, it was hard to do (the Stockholm syndrome), but after I actually turned in my books and the badge I never felt better.

BTW they don't cash out your sick hours. I thought they will add it to my last check but no.. Should have taken my last month off with pay. The assist. CP said they had 15% turn over and said thanks for staying and "paying" off my type rating. I got only one, not all 3.

As I look back - 95% of my CAL memories are total disappointment.

All the best to every one!!! There is life after CAL!! :)
