A couple of airplanes in MIA doing FedEx runs to Mexico and Central America.

Now the question becomes, who is going to take over the runs, and are they going to be hiring.

I would say that they should turn that ramp and hangar space over to Airnet so they could put it to good use, but I wouldn't be suprised if those new owners and new CEO kill off Airnet within a year. hate to see it happen, but it wouldn't suprise me one bit.

I will echo the previous sentiment of "it's about time!" To those who will lose a job out of this (pilots/mechanics) consider this to be some good karma coming your way, because it's likely that your life has just been saved.

Flew with a guy that used to fly there. He nearly punched me in the face when i wondered what i thought it would be like to work there. Mentioned good times flying around vietnam or something in the ol convair with the buttocks clenched with fear.

I'm thinking IFL is already all over that...there's an IFL Convair doing a Miami to Guatamala City right now...never done that before.
