Company card.

Just a question for those guys that have to put it on their own personal cards. Does the company reimburse you for personal interest that you get hit with if they do not pay you back quick enough?

Both Crew Members have a company issued VISA -AMEX SUCKS! We submit an expense report for each trip.

We can also use our own money and get reimbursed for things such as cash tips, cell phone bills.

Yep, though Jet (specifically our account rep) is really good about processing our expense reports. We have a web based system where we can put in reports while on the road.

Thats not so bad then, and you could rack up quite a few bonus points for yourself.

company cards do have a down side. I worked for a company that went broke and neglected to pay his AMEX bill. Because my name was on the card AMEX's collection agency came after me for the payment. Before you all say BS its true I called an attorney and even though I never signed anything or filled out a application, I was a card holder on that account there fore resopnseable for the Debt. I had to go through the entire list of charges and prove that I hadn't signed for any of them. Bottom line is if you sign the reciept and your name is on the card under the company name then you are responceable for the charge. It

Interesting I neveer thought about it, but I could see where they would try and collect from you.

I had a very similar experience. What a pain-in-the-a$$, to say the least.

Each state has varying degrees of consumer protection but if you are issued a company credit card that you did not apply for to charge company expenses and your attorney told you that you are on the hook, you should find a better attorney or one with more experience in this area. This could be a state or federal matter depending on the issuer of the credit card. If you encounter a similar problem, I recommend you start with your states Attorney General.
