Good thing they have a new sim to train folks for the incredible upgrade from 3 tubes upfront to 4 tubes...egads, where do I look to see if I'm right-side-up?

Come to think of it...the last type ride I took it was super-important to know whether the cabin was real leather or vinyl...the "Vinyl Allergy Reaction" checklist...1.) LAND AT THE NEAREST SUITABLE AIRPORT


It is an entirely new avionics system and not just an extra tube. You ever watch a honeywell guy try and fly a collins? He might as well be a student pilot.
 
Cessna made the right choice. The Collins really is superior.

Vice versa comes with a lot of complaints but much satisfaction. Must be that the Honeywell dual cue is a superior product.
 
I believe the Collins is much nicer.

I went from a FMS 3000 in our military aircraft to the Honeywell in the Citation Shares XL/XLS and there is noticeably more head down time tuning with that Honeywell than there is with the Collins. The Collins is much faster and easier to operate in my opinion. Bring on the Pro Line 21 (it uses the FMS 3000) in the XLS+.

Not that I am senior enough to see it for several years.....lol. Atleast I know I will eventually. ;)

OMG, you're one of THOSE guys who actually LIKE the dual cue...!

In all fairness, Honeywell has more than one level of the Epic software, and we have the 'Epic Lite', not the full version the airlines have. Collins is a MUCH superior product in either case though.

For you XLS+ guru's, an XL driver told me he heard the Mmo was bumped up to .77 or .78, any truth to that?
 
.75? Dang! I think thats stall speed on the X ...

So if a Hawker and a X leave the east coast at the same time heading to LAX, the X will be landing while the Hawker is still over Denver ...

Of course when the Hawker crew is heading to the LAX Hilton the X crew will again be over Denver - going back to the east coast ..:crying:

Depends- Are you talking the pre 400 pound weight increase block change CX? In winter, the CX with more than a few pax could be looking at a fuel stop.
