Interesting article about the XLS+ in this month's BC&A magazine. Is either Netjets or Citationshares scheduled to get these airplanes to replace older versions? If so, how many?

Looked like an upgrade from three to four tubes up front (Pro Line 21). The cabin looked nicer as well.

XLS+ sim will be in place at Flight Saftey on May 9th or 15th. NJA is expecting to have it online by July 2009.

Very close.... FSI CMH will get the sim around that time frame with training to begin in August. The XLS+ sim in ICT is already operating and expect a second sim in ICT early next year.

CL

PS - NJA deliveries have slipped since the original 1Q09 time frame - look for them end of 2Q09 or early 3Q09.

How many XLS+ aircraft are we talking about? I know the XL/XLS fleet at Netjets is huge. Are we looking at replacing a big percentage and ultimately phasing out the XL and XLS? That would be 80+ airplanes - right? Looks like a nice airplane....

I don't think there is a set number on how many +s NJA will get. There has already been one or two older Excels sold off and I'm sure as time goes by NJA will at a minimum replace older Excels with the + even if the economy stays bad for a long time. It's hard to say how much the overal fleet including the Excel, XLS and XLS+ will be. It just depends on how many customers NJA has for it.

FYI, the XLS+ is now backed up until AT LEAST July, 09 for NJA.

Don't know how many we are getting for sure. I have heard 50 with options for 50 more.

2 XL's are gone. Gee, now we only have 113 of them...

Good thing they have a new sim to train folks for the incredible upgrade from 3 tubes upfront to 4 tubes...egads, where do I look to see if I'm right-side-up?

Come to think of it...the last type ride I took it was super-important to know whether the cabin was real leather or vinyl...the "Vinyl Allergy Reaction" checklist...1.) LAND AT THE NEAREST SUITABLE AIRPORT
