Rumors flying around that there will soon be an announcement about possible recalls in first part of the year. Can anyone confirm this?

Hope so, it is lonely @ the bottom.:nuts:

Flying has tapered off a bit compared to July/August when the reserves were flying 85 to 95 hours.

Now I am seeing 50 to 55 reserve hours and no immediate need more recalls unless AA knows something we dont..(Large groups of early retirements, keeping -80s flying instead of parking, etc)

I did hear they were pulling a few '80's out of the desert. Maybe they decided to pull a few more for kicks and grins.

I'd watch December 1st to see how many retire. After that, I'd bet they're in for the long haul.

Rumblings of recalls;

1. Large group of potential retirements on Dec 1st.

2. Gearing up for 3 737 deliveries a month with new rumor of keeping the 80s flying.

Time will tell...

How many pilots does AA have on forlough right now?

Of course, with the contract scheduling proposals made by management, it looks more like they want to get rid of about 1000-1500 present working pilots.

Almost 2000 pilots still on furlough at AA.
