Hey Delta Guys/ Gals!

Trying to get some info on your new contract. Been flying with a few company cool-aid drinkers and they seem to be convinced that we are the “best paid legacy pilots in the industry” here at CAL. After asking them what kind of hash they’ve been smoking I try to inform them of the luxuries that are offered in other contracts that are not offered in ours (IE: WORKRULES!!). Does anyone have any literature or bullet points they can post or PM me regarding some of the work rules and pay rates from your newly agreed upon contract. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I would like to get some of these company men / scabs to pull there heads out of the sand and see what we need to be fighting for. The company keeps telling us we are the best in the business and keeps touting about all of the accolades we have won. It’s time for them to pay up and pay us accordingly. We need WORKRULES!
Specifics I am inquiring about are:

1) Trip Rigs
2) Duty Rigs
3) Min Trip Credit
4) Reserve work rules
5) International Override
6) Night Override
7) Vacation (years of Service Accrual)
8) Pay Rate Scale (+annual % Pay raise)
9) Any other QOL / Financial info regarding the contract

I am planning on making my own bullet point handout and leaving it in the airplane to get some of our “less informed” pilots informed. We want to use your contract as a building block for our contract so someday, HOPEFULLY, you can use ours to build off of.
Thanks again to all who positively contribute to this thread!

Specifics I am inquiring about are:

1) Trip Rigs
5:15 per day min. Avg over life of trip
2) Duty Rigs
Quite complicated, but compliments your bio rhythms as much as it can.
3) Min Trip Credit
5:15 per day
4) Reserve work rules
Stink, but are better than most. I like some of your better.
5) International Override
FO 4.00 CA 6.00~ at the end of the contract
6) Night Override
God don't we wish
7) Vacation (years of Service Accrual)
To lazy to look up, but the senior guys lost a week a few years back.
8) Pay Rate Scale (+annual % Pay raise)
5,4,4,4 Plus 2% more in the DC.
9) Any other QOL / Financial info regarding the contract
Profit sharing that is OK. Like yours, but you may get a better percentage.

Health insurance from day one.

Training on day off = 3:15 pay no credit (which means it does not go towards your monthly "credit limit.")

Just to tag on, your line will be built as if it IS credit. IOW, you will not have to fly a full month AND do recurrent. If you choose, you can pick up. Same with vacation.

Almost, but not quite entirely accurate. Here it is:

1. Trip Rig: 1 hr pay for every 3.5 hours away from base.

2. Duty Rig: gets complicated, but in essence, 1 hour pay for every 2 hours on duty, per duty period.

3. Duty Period Average: 5.15 a day for each duty period. DH-only duty periods DO NOT qualify for DPA.

4. For any sitaround > 5 hours, the company will provide a hotel room on request. This is a great rule, as it discourages such. On the other hand, you may see a lot of 4+50 sitarounds!

I was not going to get in to the 1 for 3.5 and 1 for 2. But in essence most trips are built with this in mind. Every so often you will see a credit for a trip that does not meet those.

Some reserve work rules, current short call reserves have 8 short call days a month, which will be reduced to 6 after the date of corporate closing for the "merger." Also, INTL reserves have a 24 hour callout, whereas domestic reserves have a 12 hour callout on shortcall. But, going from 8 to 6 days a month is better.

Bye Bye---General Lee
