As an Alaskan, I would like to raise my glass to Senator Ted Stevens and thank him for his many years of public service. During Teds tenure he was able to make Alaska the #1 state for receiving pork barreling. "Thank you Ted Stevens"!

The only thing Terrible Ted deserves is a cellmate named Bubba in a federal PMITA prison.

Someone should give him soap-on-a-rope for his upcoming prison term. A more corrupt politician I have not seen in a long time. He's now a poster boy for the Obama campaign.

Thanks for scr@wing the industry with Age 65 you old dork!

Oh sweet irony if he's convicted and gets sent to a federal lock up in West Virginia. A prison built with the Pork brought in by the only Senator who was once in the KKK and out porked Stevens.

Dream on. This is America. Politicians of Stevens stature don't go to jail. At best, he'll get a fine and a slap on the wrist.

I suppose the scariest part is that since he'll be tried by jury (yes?), it will be his fellow Americans who give him a pass.

Tell that to Duke Cunningham.

This is the guy that lead age 65 into being the law of the land.

Well...the good part is if you live in Alaska, you can vote against him in November...if you don't live in Alaska, then maybe you can send his opponent a campaign contribution.

But ( and this is the best part) where you can really get back at the ones who made Age 65 happen....you can vote against your congressman in November...and your Senators ( who voted "unanimous consent" on age 65).

And to make it really sting...write them a letter explaining why you will not be supporting them in November...then follow it up with a phone call to their office.

you could even work for or contribute to their opponents campaigns.
