For the benefit of those viewing this post, many probably think I'm being led on by a flamer from out in cyberspace. But, regrettably, I know for a fact this is one of our senior line captains. ASA guys, I apologize. I really hadn't intended to keep replying, but the responses were so telling into the character of the other poster I couldn't resist. Oh Please, I'm certain of it, is also one of those immature guys that key the mike on the ops freq when someone is discussing a situation with ops or their dispatcher and goes; "waaaaaaah". haha, RRR seriously does need fixing. Also, what the hell is up w/ crew planning. Are they so stupid that they can't get the schedule correct by the deadlines in the contract. This is like the 5th month in a row that they have f'd it up. If we don't get our stuff in on time, we're SOL, but if the company can't get it done, no big deal, we'll just extend it. Rediculous!

Sorry it took me this long to respond. A bunch of my riddle/und friends and I were playing microsoft flight sim for the past 48 hours and I couldn't leave the computer. Then we started up with dungeons and dragons and it was all over.

haha, RRR seriously does need fixing. Also, what the hell is up w/ crew planning. Are they so stupid that they can't get the schedule correct by the deadlines in the contract. This is like the 5th month in a row that they have f'd it up. If we don't get our stuff in on time, we're SOL, but if the company can't get it done, no big deal, we'll just extend it. Rediculous!

Blame the company for switching to a new bidding/open time system without any spin-up time. Anybody who knows anything about computers knows that no software is perfect and there needs to be ample time to test and debug before you put it in production use. That was simply not done here.

At least the union found a way to keep the bid cycle open a bit longer without delaying the awards by a day. I doubt anybody is going to complain about having an extra few hours to bid when the timeline for awarding isn't shifted.
