DAY 1: 0430 show for a 0600 airline from SAV-BOS. Hop a cab from BOS to BED. Crank up for a ferry to TEB, stop the train... recover a CMH trip for a broken X. Sit in BED until 1530, then go to TEB with one pax. Done by 1715. Had Dinner with old buddy who was in town.

DAY 2: 0500 show for a 0700 takeoff. 4 paxs to Durham Valley Tees, NE England. 6.5 hour flight, had awesome coffee, read two magazines and ate more food than I should have. Landed (at the correct airport), cleaned the plane, went to the Marriot in Durham City. Had dinner went to bed.

DAY 3: Told the locals I was a Canadian college student... didnt get me any further than telling them I was a pilot (on previous tours). :erm: Took pictures, walked around, and had Thai food for dinner.

DAY 4: Got kicked out of the hotel for a wedding party. Driver picked us up at 1200L and took us to New Castle. We are now a full 60 mins away from the QS plane. Going to gym today, Indian for dinner tonight. Working on my Australian accent to see if it brings any better luck.

DAY 5-7: Yet to be determined, standby.

Thanks for the continuing tour update Wolfpack,

I have no doubt that with the domestic/international mix of flying, great pay and benefits and the advanced technology available, flying a G-Whiz for NJI/NJA on a 7/7 schedule would be one of the better jobs in aviation. Now if I could just get a call....

1730 local: Saw crazy drunk soccer fans and a man dragging his wife across the street kicking and screaming... We have nothing on the Brits, give these nuts 20 guns and the whole population would be killed in 3 months... Queen included.

Thats what happens in North-East England ( the south much better ) - believe me I know having spent a year in Middlesborough, and my first 28 years in my homeland.

I miss it - maybe I will bid the GIV

Question about the 18 day sched. I understand it is split up into three, six day periods. Do you almost always go out on the first day of your rotation and come home on the last? Or is it common to sit a day or two at home on either end?

NJI does not have an 18 day schedule. 7 and 7 only. I have sat at home on day 1 once in 10 1/2 years. Some people do it, just not me!!

???? On the website it says there are three schedules, 7 on 7 off, 15 day flex and 18 day fixed. Am I missing something here?

NJI and NJA are two individual companies with different pilot groups (for a little longer) NJI only has 7 on 7 off oh and in response to your other post there is no consistency to the 18 day schedule at NJA. You could do 8 on 5 off, 4 on 3 off then do a 6 on 4 off. There are even two day trips sometimes. You will 99 percent of the time be gone those 18 days. I home reserve day is a rare treat
