Oh Lord, I wish I was a major dude like you.
If you were a major dude like me you wouldn't be like me since I'm not a major dude, dude.

Maybe the company can find a way to cut 10% in costs without taking it from pilot pay. Efficiencies elsewhere. Maybe the Q would be cheaper to operate than the ATR with less maintenence costs, etc....
I hear ya'. I'd like to think that would be true. I'd like to.
I do agree, however, that the MX costs on the ATR have to be significantly higher now than even just a few years ago. The soon to be departed ATRs at ASA are getting to be quite long in the tooth.
At any rate, it would be nice to see ASA keep the flying that is rightfully ours, and historically ours. Since the contract was signed and the ramp and operation have taken dramatic turns for the better (just look at the latest DOT stats) we have been hearing how we are in good position for new flying. It is no secret that we are keeping ourselves fat on pilot staffing, so we should be well equipped to keep flying in our one and only domicile without Delta bringing in yet another bottom feeder airline.
Pretty bad isnt it that NOW a bottom feeder is making more than a CRJ700 Capt, crawl back to your hole and lick your wounds fly boy.nope, but I do know that Colgan pilots are bottom-feeding scumbags who fly that big Q for peanuts. Makes me want to vomit.
...and I hear they wear Cowboy boots too.nope, but I do know that Colgan pilots are bottom-feeding scumbags who fly that big Q for peanuts. Makes me want to vomit.
You not from around here r u boy?
The problem isn't who you want to label "bottom feeders"....It is a failed union that allows bidding on flying and competition within a brand.....
Either change the system or quit crying when your flying gets taken by someone else......
Our system is broken.
But, much like a battered spouse, we just keep coming back for more...
Oh for crying out freaking loud! Nevermind! I get it. Delta owns the routes. Whatever! Big deal! Does Delta or has Delta ever flown the big iron to Chattanooga or Hilton Head???? That was my damn point. ASA has flown those routes for Delta for years and years and years, and it would be nice if it were ASA to keep flying those routes, for Delta, in the future..........and not Colgon, or Pinnacle, or Expressjet, or Mesaba or Freedumb or Chautauqua or anyone else.
Get it????
So sorry if I stepped on the toes of any over sensative Delta pilot who wants to make sure us scooter trash Regional boys stay in our place and know who the big boss is!
For crying out loud, does the General hold classes on this kind of nonsense in the parking lot?
PS.....Cool side.......you are an a$$hole!

Fact.........
Delta, like I said, can go ahead and load up the mad dog and take 42 people to MLU, AGS, CSG or anywhere else all day long if the want.
What? That doesn't sound like a good business plan? Maybe they will lose a lot of money doing that. Oh, nevermind then.
