BTW, in the last few days of flying I have spoken with a lot of pilots (in the jetways and cockpit) and none of them voted YES..... (I still think it will pass though)
Anyone who thinks this merger and seniority integration is going to go through with 'smooth sailing' needs to share that high quality weed they've been smokin.
Who said anything about smooth sailing? Maybe you should be the one who puts the weed down!!![]()
There should be other bids coming out in the meantime---with new 777s coming etc. What will be interesting though is what will happen when they move equipment from base to base...
Bye Bye--General Lee
How many firm incoming 777s is that again?
He works neither DL or NW and knows little about the merger.
I know enough from knowing people working on both sides.
In other words, enough to form a stupid opinion based off hearsay. Go worry about your own company, you're gonna need to, however this vote turns out!
Oh don't you worry, so will you, my friend. So will you.
I know enough from knowing people working on both sides.
From your other post "So in other words its rumor"?![]()
Maybe, but maybe not. However, I'd rather be in my situation than yours!
True, your worse case scenario will be a Compass left seat in the E175.
Mine could be end up on the street.
Yeah, I guess I'd rather be you. I would love a chance to displace a current Compass pilot, and put him on the street, where he can fend for himself and his wife/kids.
NO thanks! I'd rather be in my position. If a furlough comes, I'll take it. I would hate to go into a left seat of an airplane, knowing full well my action is about to furlough a guy who is already poor, and trying to support his wife and kids.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Ah yes, trying to play the guilt trip card. Have you been furloughed? I have! I don't wish a furlough on ANYONE, not even you. But rest assured, I highly doubt I'll get furloughed, but if I do, Compass pilots knew the risk when they were hired. Nice try F/O, but as usual you showed your ignorance again.
Talk trash all you want, Mr.-Former-CRJ-pilot-turned-recently-hired-major-carrier-pilot!
As long as you get yours in the end, huh?
Not near as much as we enjoy reading yours. Is that all you got? What about my military career? What about my 135 career? What about my ability to survive a furlough?
You think you know it all, well, you don't know sh!t. You're just a dumb rj F/O that is mouthing off because you see yourself stuck at the regionals for a LONG time. Keep mouthing off, I enjoy reading your stupidity.

Does that make him less credible because he is new? At least he works for a company thats actually in this discussion unlike yourself. Why the sudden desire to swarm the DAL/NWA threads posting nothing more than flames?Doesn't Pinchanickle have enough to worry about? Why stress yourself over something you aren't involved with?
But then again, you were just a former CRJ pilot who has been at a major carrier for less than 12 months.
You are truly naiive if you think the NWA merger affects ONLY Delta and NWA. It has industry wide repercussions for everyone.

Try and keep up here, k, I have Never flown a CRJ in my life. Feel free to stop talking out of you a$$ at any point in time.![]()
Hmmm...let me think? Reduced competition, better pricing power, mega airline which can compete with other mega -carriers like AF-KLM...sounds like really 'bad' repercussions to everyone...
You speak before the merger has been fully completed. Wait it out and see how big the integration costs will be (some estimates put it at $1 billion dollars). Lets see what the SLI looks like. And lets actually see the end final product. Then we'll conclude just how good/bad it is. From the looks of it so far, the repercussions will not be good for the industry.
And btw, reduced competition.... aka reduced planes and reduced jobs.
