Perhaps he will be more labor friendly, or less hostile to labor than bush and his cronies.

Might also appoint a friendlier NMB, which determines
release from negotiations and self-help. Which equals leverage.....

A vote for McCain is a vote for your job to be handed over to the Branson's and Ryannair's of the world, and for foreign control of airlines, and of hiring of foreign nationals at U.S. carriers.

McCain is very hostile to airline pilots, period.


Besides, if you are worried about defense policy and national security, look at the resumes of the current occupants (Bush sr. in background, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Powell, etc.) Yet, they fu**** it up in Iraq and Afghanastan, and ruined our reputation around the world.

I'll try Obaba's optimism and vision over Bush's Hubris.

You all forget that capital gains taxes will be raised and that will impact you and anyone else who sells stocks, property, etc. Don't think you are immune because you ain't...

Everyone forgets the state taxes that will added on top of the increased federal taxes. Can imagine those tax bills? I read that independent business people in the high-tax states of New York and California who employee people with families could end up paying 60% of their revenues in taxes (federal + state taxes including health care benefit taxes). I am not a tax expert, but that's not going to encourage people to start businesses in those states - you will see job losses instead. Businesses will leave those states for less-costly states. I also read that AAA just announced 1,000 jobs moving from California to Arizona and Oklahoma. High taxes don't support businesses and their jobs. That's the point. Lower taxes increases discretionary spending and people buy more vacations, more cars, etc. that support our pilot lifestyles. High taxes = job threat. Even Bill Clinton reduced capital gains taxes from 28% to roughly 20% and yet Obama wants to raise them again.

Yeah, I am not a fan of McCain and his anti-labor stance, but at least he won't throw fuel on the fire by increasing taxes in a recession like Obama will - that's INSANE! Say NO to Obama if you want job growth vs. job losses.

Oh yeah, UAL's management should be canned for terrible leadership and complete incompetence. Tilton probably wishes he was back in the profit-rich oil business (he formerly worked for Chevron I believe) where he could count on bigger bonuses.

Wake up and google McCain-Lott baseball style arbitration, scary stuff, a republican judge gets to decide if you get a pay raise. no strikes allowed, its binding !!! They just missed passing it a few years ago, he will try again as president.

That BS is actually in the works. What's going on around this place is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't wish these conditions on any airline employee. It is as bad as it sounds. And now these A holes have to resort to attacking individuals for their inability to manage the airline correctly. They are using individuals as scapegoats for something that never happened and something that was never said. Nothing around here is ever their fault when it's actually ALL of their fault.

I could go on for hours but I'll stop now. Maybe I'll continue later. This place has gotten so ridiculous that I can't think straight.
