Word on the street is the hiring is slowing to a crawl for the rest of 08....
Rumor... hired 200 this year
furloughs are coming
lol thats funny...
to educate you, it is because we can't have guys sitting around for 5 months waiting on a sim. More sims = more hiriing.
we have planes sitting with no crews because they can't get them trained fast enough.
Tell them "Yes." Then tell them you have to empty the lav into a plastic trash bag, and bow to the passengers as they arrive. The toughest part is cleaning up all the rose petals we scatter up the stairs and down the aisle...![]()

I was told by someone at Bridgeway that were not giving any Furloughed Legacy guys Pref treatment. In her words we got burned by hiring too many Old Legacy pilots that think they can still act like they are captains in there old 121 job and not take care of our owners.
I don't know about you guys but I'm sick and tired of airlining to or from work and having some airline crew stop me and tell me that we "Netjets" are there backup plan if they get furloughed. this is usually followed by being asked if we have to act like FA and serve them there meals and drinks.
From your profile, it looks like you were at Indy Air. Seems NetJets was your backup plan.

I was just scheduled for a phone interview in August (the Recruiting Team's first available month for me). One internal LOR and App Accepted in April means to me that things are still moving ahead, albeit slowly for all the reasons stated on this thread.your right dad,
I know of a few people who have phone interviews or requests to schedule one.....there may be a back up in training/ sim slots.....but there is not a stop or slow due to economy/ fuel......still waiting lists and people wanting to be NJA owners.
I flew some kids to summer camp recently....i'd imagine mom and dad would fly them commercailly if they were pinching pennies....
People with larger amounts of money weather economic slowdowns drasticly different then airline passengers.....simple fact.
The hiring continues!![]()
I was in CMH last week and spoke with several people in mangement and here is what they said, take this info or leave it, but this is straight from the people that actually may know what they are talking about.
There will be more hired this year, the number is between 100-75. Actually the number 75 came up twice, but that is just an observation. They are on pace to fill the hiring quota for this year and they don't have the sim slots to go over that. One person spoke of a hiring pool, but that was just in the abstract.
Good luck to those that apply.
You willing to donate maybe..a mac or a toyota. I'm sure that big petro bill everyweek is killing your bank account:nuts: you on the 7 and 7?Tell 'em to go pound sand so that I can move up two more slots. Or is it three?![]()
Yeah, because management always tells the truth. LOL...
