MK82 - I'm truly sorry you are being furloughed as I've been through it myself several times. Here's to hoping oil comes down and your furlough goes away.

The furloughs are based upon block hour reductions and not some % scheme you devise in your own mind as being 'fair'. The fact is the block hour reductions are greater on the West than the East and therefore, the reductions as well.

Attempting to use your status in 2005 as some type of lifetime job security is unrealistic. As you, and countless others have postulated, furloughed pilots do not displace active ones. Well, in 2008 the shoe is on the other foot.

Again, lets hope for a soultion that keeps you employed.

So I guess by that logic we should furlough everyone who was based in PIT before they closed it?
 
That flying went to DCA and CLT.
