Read a topic recently about what's not allowed in the cockpit (news papers, sudoku etc.) so that's been beaten to death.

I've only flown 121 before with a locked cockpit door, so I'm curious to know what you do on a 4-7hr flight? Doesn't it get boring? How do you stay awake, get the circulation going. This is open to anyone, I titled it netjets because they're the only one I interviewed with.
Thanks

Who Cares!

listen to rush...listen to coast to coast...listen to midnight truckin radio...then creat a

FOLLW mEEEE TWOOO BOOBS

visual for your next approach.

and read and quiz each other on the opspecs and fom.

You can play Radial Wars. Using the fix function shoot radials at vors. Sort of difficult to explain but a great way to waste time

Why would we need a HAM license since its through the HF radio?

As previously stated but with some elaboration. The FCC regulates HAM bands, 2, 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 meters etc. requiring users to be licensed. The HF radio in the aircraft is cabable of using several of these bands but the operator still needs to be licensed.

I used to fly with a guy who was licensed and when he got on there and said the words "aeronautical mobile", there would be a pile up of people waiting to talk to him. We would talk to folks from all over the world but mostly right underneath us as the signal often bounced off the ionosphere and went straight back down.

I wouldn't try and pretend your licensed either because many of these HAM folks can smell a rookie and will report you to the FCC.

we used to listen to ipods....until someone ratted us out.....

now we read the enroute charts......
Real pro there. You guys pi$$ me off. I'm tired of covering the missed radio calls for you. And how swell, leaving your partner to sit there in silence like a dead body.
Owners aren't paying $20,000 a month for you to listen to music. You're on their dime in the plane, do what you're supposed to.
Let me guess....REGIONAL PILOT in past life?

Tune in WWV on the HF (freq 10.000) and see how close you can set your watch or the clock on the panel to the exact correct time!
