Posted right from the SWA Life website....great news for poolies....hope to see you here soon!

"So, at this time we are planning to retire 18 aircraft in 2008 instead of 22. We are taking 29 deliveries in 2008, then retiring 18, so that gives us a net of 11 aircraft in 2008, bringing our estimated 2008 year-over-year ASM capacity growth to approximately four percent."
 
Haven't been to this thread in awhile and realized I entered my Pool Date incorrectly. Got my type on 7/7/07. Made changes to the list accordingly.

So I guess only 210 out of 370+ would be drained out of the pool for 08.

It just depends on what numbers you are after. If you are just counting for aircraft deliveries then that would be it. But if you are counting for the pilots needed to fill in during RNP training then it could be a 100-150 more on top of the 210. If we decide to grow Denver and other cities it could change weekly.

All I can say is we need more pilots the amount of extra flying that is out there is hurting some of my weekends.

Sometimes its hard to get out of the jet-bridge. You can't even make it home to "not" answer the phone.
 
Just heard from my other poolie friend, she just got the call for the June 4th class. I think the pool water is getting low. Might be time to start filling it back up soon.

With the way things are in this industry now.....Dude you need to ZIP IT! If you have a grievence? Talk to your rep and explain to them how overworked we are and that you deserve 200% for JA's. Better yet, reach down in the depths find a little humility, and thank God almighty your not at some Supplemental carrier or at Mesa where a lot of times its straight pay and instead of having 10 or 11 days off a month its 9 or 10.

See you there, and hang in there you all, you're time will come sooner rather than later.
 
Does anyone have info on how many have turned down a class date with SWA? I noticed that more than a few names on the pool list had no class date. Thanks.
