We fly to TLV all the time and always have CAI as an alternate. I think they are OK with each other, at least when it comes to overflight stuff.

They said it was OK but they have been wrong before. I just wanted some input from anyone who has done this before.

Thanks

I flew for the Saudi's and we always went around Israeli airspace. Normally there is no problem, however, I would check with your passengers to see if they have any personal preference. The Airspace is so small that going around it is no big diversion.

If you haven't flown out there before, I suggest you brief yourself on the Turkish, Cypriot airspace bulletin...
Make sure your overflights permits are valid with permit numbers.
Have Fun...

Z Aviation in Cairo is not bad....Good Luck!

Last time I was in telaviv there was cessna citation US registration flying to cairo. They told me they had no problems, but in the end they had issues getting a clearance, and getting flight plans filed.

I think was more due to the handling (or lack thereof trying to do it themselves) than the actual issue of going to cairo.

That's a some good advice. We are in there 3-4 times a week and still have problems with ATC there. 50% of the time everything is OK. They want total control of your flight plan, so don't have the handler send your plan on to Eurocontrol. We always get a stern talking to. You don't want a stern conversation from those guys.

It all depends on who is working in the tower that day.

We use QAS and they are great. Make sure that they have a copy of the ICAO sheet all filled out.

Good luck.

Do NOT let the Israelis stamp your passport. If you do and you go to a Arab country you may incounter some delays.
